Half marathons in the UK before Jan

Hi,

A few friends of mine are looking for a half marathon before January, in order to gain a qualifying time for London Marathon championship places.

Can anyone recommend one ? I've been looking around but fast half marathon events with places for sale seem to be few and far between at this time of year
