10th Baikal Ice marathon in Siberia March 1 2014

I am helping my Russian friends publicise this marathon.  I was there this year myself photographing it for the Daily Mail - its amazingly beautiful. Most runners use Yaktrax on their shoes to help run on the ice.

Hope to see you there in March! There is lots to see and do in the area eg dog sledding, snowmobiling and on 2 March Russian pancake festival. Thinking of taking the Trans Siberian raillway train one way this year
