Bin pass-the-parcel sounds a bit manky - if you have to unwrap a layer every time do you have to get down to the insides of people's rubbish bags?
I am sad for the parcel-less people
Mouse, I have recently been through that rigmarole. They are, indeed, tosh. Our conclusion was that the only way to really get any return on money was to put it in property, which we can't, because we don't have that much to invest. Or wine. Apparently wine is a good investment currently.
Property yes. I didn't want to go down the buy to let, though it would provide an income and as you say, should not drop in value. Fairly safe gamble.
Other option is to buy a place that needs some work and bring it up to scratch and sell on, hopefully at a profit. That would be more fun, though around here you wouldn't make much of a profit.
I'd like to do something that I'd enjoy though. saw a watermill that could be converted and restored. I'd like a gallery space. It's got permission for holiday let and to be extended.
We could open our mundane coffee shop. Hands up who's in?
Just in case if anyone is driving through sheffield at the weekend keep a eye out for the sign's directing people to the lady boy's of bankok christmas party. It's some sort of event/show going on in the city all week and made me smile watching some of the reactions on the driver's faces when they pass one.
I've always wanted to run a tea room. Or a B&B. Or a B&B with a small holding and a tea room attached, and I could run sports nutrition/training weekends... I have big plans for the future! Or for daydreaming
Next door now has two black bins. The bin I accidentally stole definitely wasn't theirs... But they've now helped themselves to the one I took, so I feel absolved. Sort of...
B&B is too much work, self catering apartments or cottages. Tea room sounds good, very rusty on the catering but still have a few books from college days.
I am getting excited and keep checking my lists to make sure I do not forget anything tomorrow.
That happened to me once as well Jus....I think I had to change my browser or something to get back in on a regular basis. (Very frustrating)
We put our decorations up yesterday (sorry!!) and my house is all twinkling and sparkly - I love it...I got a new table cloth which has christmas puddings and robin red breasts on it - we go for tacky in our house not subtle
Driving around the island yesterday it looked as if there was some kind of mad race going on with what house hold could put up there outside lights the fastest, every where you looked people up ladders and climbing on roofs.

I got a parcel, the people 3 doors down took it in and the kind postie man left his form with the details on through the door. I have haribo.

Evening lovelies
MrKJ is due back tomorrow morning, I'm half-tidying up as I don't want him to feel we cope too well in his absence!
Glad to hear the spare bin problem has been passed on to someone else.
Happy cheesemas to everyone who can't make it tomorrow
Yes indeed
It's Cheeeeeeesemaaaaas!!!!!!
Good Morning! Good luck santa Dashers
And from me. Although yesterday was Cheesemas Day, thankfully we have the 24 days of Cheesemas to keep us going.
Altogether now: "On the first day of Cheesemas a Mundanie gave to me, some Dirty Vicar and a slab of brie."
I rather enjoyed the Dirty Vicar. I doubt he thought the same about me
I would serve on tables in the tea room
I am looking at buying lots of glitter - need to make some christmas presents from Mini and Mini2 for people that love them.
Loved the cheesemas day yesterday, I had a cheesy snack for supper even though I wasn't hungry.
I had a cheesy snack for supper last night too, KJ I thought of the Cheesemassing Mundanies.
My bins are lined up outside ready for the bin men. I have a headache and think it may be lack of cheese, chocolate and or water.
Morning Mundanies
Glad those that went to the Cheesemas had a great time and those that couldn't got into the spirit of cheese in what ever way they could.
Birthday weekend went well for Tiny. We took him out for tapas and his first pint of draught beer last night. Both of which he enjoyed immensely!
Hope the headache clears quickly, CJ.
My green bin has been emptied. I shall bring it back down after I've been for my run. No point wearing myself out before hand.
Morning all, I think this site don't want me on here, this is only the second time it's let me on in 2 weeks.
very, very frustrating

think I will leave it another week
Our Christmas light is up all year round. I may put a sprig of holly on it later, if the birds haven't eaten all the berries.
You'll be relieved to hear the green bin is back with it's mate, black bin, and is safely tucked into bin corner.
