Multiple Interest and Extra Benefits - Charity Running Support

Hi

Had to pass on my thoughts for all those interested in doing some kind of run or mad adventure all for a charity

Many charities in the past have been happy for me to sign up and fundraise for them but other than some emails and the satisfaction of were the money goes there has been little support............till NOW!!!!

The Gingerbread Centre in Stoke which supports homeless families in Cheshire and Staffordshire has formed a Running and Adventure Club of which i am now a member........this is not a formal running club just a fund-raising and mutual interest club.......with extra benefits

These include.........expert support and advice from high class runners/athletes on training and preparation for what ever length of event you are going for with training /advice evenings: low cost specialist sports physio from a former international who still works with elite athletes....how cool is that almost makes it worth having and injury lol

Tech training shirt, water bottle, and fundraising back and most of all regular contact and support...their club is run by a former Para-Olympian so attention to detail makes you feel special. Finally, guaranteed entry into some events!

If you are based in the Midlands, Staffordshire and Cheshire i can highly recommend you get in touch with Marcus at the Gingerbread Centre and look to join in the fun

I am sure lots of other charities also care for the runners but this is my first experience of something like this and is very motivational for my running

Thanks

Andy
