Morning.
Lyrics - You know it doesn't make much sense
Happy Birthday OH!
I wish I'd known Blisters, never mind, will just have to eat extra marzipan on the side if there doesn't seem to be enough. Glad you're feeling better.
Horses aren't a bad hobby for a young girl Gobi and should keep her quite fit.
Last long one Alehouse - hard as that is.
What: rest
Why: taper
Last hard: tapering
Last rest: 27/11
Yesterday's lyrics - Waitin' On A Sunny Day by The Boss.

Morning
4k swim d&d
easyish run later
OH - getting tougher by the day (I note a bit of sense regarding the ice swim though) I have read about this before. I cant see the point - surely that sort of thing poses "risks"!!
Blisters - don't worry about the weight - it falls off when you get going again. Remember my timber - all gone now and ready to rumble!!#
Gobi nice CX by youngster.
LMH - Is it next weekend you are in action?
I've a funeral tomorrow - runner from old club died suddenly Saturday morning. He Ran a half marathon last week in 1.40odd, aged 56.
LMH - horses are damn expensive and you sit on tyhe bloody things. She is however a very happy and balanced young lady so I really don't say no to many requests. I just wish she would train a little more :??)
What: Bike ride d&d
run lunchtime
Gym PM
Why: I just live this way
Last hard: Sunday
Last rest: October 14th
Lyrics: No, but bet I do really as they seem familiar
morning all,
Paddy sad news, give him a suitably raucous send off though
Gobi - well done to the little one.
Birthday wishes to OH
RFJ - good luck with the last phase of CiRF. There was a bit of discussion about CiRF on my course yesterday as a few of us were interested in doing it. However it seems it only insures you to coach ages 12+ and not on the track. Seems I'd have to do the Athletics coach award instead (which includes field events). Our instructors are checking with EA/UKA.
Well day off work here and its a sunny , mild 9degC outside, ideal for 2 hours over the fields and woods. Only trouble is knee is still not letting me gazelle in any way possible. So it looks like I'll be doing Christmas related 'admin' after all.
Have a super day
Afternoon all,
Dustin - there are many discrepancies I believe, it is aimed at the 12+ grouping but still there is a track element and focus very heavy on the How 2 and What 2 on the technical side...
At home today as night shift tonight, so took the opportunity of a nice run, and nearly topped last weeks mileage in one run.... last week dis the grand total of just over 8m.... and a nice 7m this morning in the sun.....
Take care all
afternoon all
sad news paddy
lyrics yes
happy birthday OH
had a really good race yesterday at Bedford half, did 1.58.22, not sure where that came from! But boy do I feel it today, back is so painful, think I may have to go doc's - no faith in them though
Cancelled massage tonight, think I just want to go home and get in bed
what: see above
why: not feeling good today
last hard: yesterday
last easy: Saturday
have a lovely day all
Afternoon all
What: yoga and easy 3 miles
Why: gin tasting (5 of them) on a Sunday is not sensible and so an easy day was needed.
Last hard: intervals yesterdayLast rest: Saturday
Lyrics: nope
Happy birthday OH
Sorry to hear about your friend Paddy
Well done Wabo, but hope the back improves
Have a good one all.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes
What: Elspeth decided ...
... as we'd both got the day off together ...
... and it was a winter morning with the wind gusting to 30kts
... and we had done an ultra a week ago
... and it was my birthday
We'd do a 9 mile circuit!
there was some blue sky about and the car thermometer said 11C but with the wind chill it didn't feel it.
why: well it is my birthday
last hard: see above
last rest: sunday
lyrics: as usual no
all written on shiny new iPad
out for meal later ...
sad news Paddy (and a bit close to home - I'm 56 today!)
((wabo)) and yes we GPs can't do too much for the acute back
Two weeks Paddy - it's on the 22nd. Hope the funeral went as well as these things can.
That doesn't sound good Wabo - hope you can get it sorted.
At least there are lots of other things to be getting on with Dustin.
Gobi - but horses are usually very good at keeping girls from being interested in boys.
LMH boys are cheaper!
Sad news Paddy.
What... Hope to get out for a gentle 5-6 miles this evening.
Why... Park Run (PB) on Saturday made me feel my leg a bit, so didn't risk my LSR
Last hard... well the park run felt hard.
Last rest - yesterday
Lyrics... No. Again.
OH - happy birthday.
Wabo, good racing, well done.
Just 5 for me this evening, steady pace.
Fear of dad killing boyfriend is helping delay that one as well :??)
The longer the better Gobi!
Evening!
THought I'd posted earlier!
Happy Birthday, OH!
Well done, Wabo!
Sad news, Paddy.
What: 10 mins easy
Why: to fetch the paper (and stretch the legs a little)
Lyrics: no
Evening
Need to catch up again.
Happy Birthday OH
Very upsetting news Paddy, that's still young these days. Anyway, I'm not surprised you've lost timber the amount of training that you've been putting in.
Gobi, ah the pleasures of having daughters, and their ability to twist you round their little finger. My eldest never quite got the hang of that concept. It was always just a brutal demand. That's a sure way to wind me up to a brutal refusal.
Training? Ahem.
Other news. Mother sent a message that sounded like my kid brother was going to be presenting the BBC Christmas Lectures this year. It turns out that he's only a guest speaker on one of them. I don't expect we'll understand it anyway.
