Hi everyone! Hope someone can help..l am running VLM (my 6th marathon, but first one for 10 years!) in April....I work as a fitness instructor (teaching 18 classes a week) so can only reasonably fit 3 runs in per week or I'll end up a mess!! What's the best sessions for me to do? Obviously the long run, but what's the best way to run the other two? I'm guessing some faster work for one of them, or maybe two? A threshold run, or intervals of some sort? What should I beconcentrating on? I'm aiming for a sub 3.40 time (recent half mara of 1.40 on one long run and one shorter threshold run per week) thanks in advance!

Have a look on Shades thread (http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/training/shades-marathon-training/72631.html). She does a 3 run a week plan for busy people and i've used it for the VLM.
She includes all of the runs that you need and there's a wealth of knowledge on the thread as well
