Diet - Is less more?

Hi,

I have a question regarding diet and calorie intake.

If I'm aiming to make the most of my strength workout, should I increase my calorie intake to help my strength? Or will that just increase fat and mean I have to run more to burn it off?

Thanks

  • James more info needed before anyone can help you. What sort of training are you doing and whats your normal diet? Unless your hammering it you don't need to eat anything other than a normal balanced diet. If your training crazy miles running or got a health issue that might change but basically just eat mate.

Eat more calories than you need and you will get fat. Point blank.

You can find online calculators that, given your activity level, build, objectives and so on, will tell you how many calories you should be eating. You should also think about what those foods are - 2000 calories a day from cake is not the same as a balanced diet comprising all the right food groups
