Hello Group 4! Thank you for having me I'm afraid I am going to be the slow one in this group, will probably have to run/walk form the start due to injuries, will be needing some encouragement at mudchute
hellooo - am joining you all in group 4. hope everyone feeling fit and ready for this weekend's last big LSR? Am hoping for a 20 tomorrow but slightly concerned that the small girl beside me might give me her lurgy... oh well.
Mike frog - think we met before? in the car park of the ship at langstone on that round Britain relay thingie? (sounds like a dodgy chat up line...)
The main thing we need to know from our runners is what they would like us to hand to them at mile 17 (if anything) and how quickly they expect to get there!
Am a 10mm girl. So I'll be there about 1pm. I'll probably hand over a bag with a couple of gels at the expo (all marked up - I know the drill) - that's all I'd need.
Hello! Signed up 2 months ago but I'd completely forgotten about this ... I should get there for 12:10-12:15 with HPH vest, beard & ponytail as below. I don't need anything handed out.
... mad welsh woman I will be possibly near you....was up to 9.5 min/mile did 22 LSR and felt great until the following day ...had referred pain through my leg so at the moment im having a bit of physio...and using my bike on a static turbo...im desperate to get out and run but REST is what I need....
Hello all, It can take 45 mins from pen 8/9 to cross start. I have just noticed that mass start is 10 am this year, I am sure it has been earlier than this in the past? May have to eat more than normal before the start!
start is normally 9.45 - I guess this way there are more possible trains people can catch? luckily I live in Blackheath so can just stroll to the start!
I normally take a banana and a bottle of filuted squash with me - and have those as a top up in the last half hour...
Really starting to panic, if the injuries weren't enough I have a nasty cough (not good for an asthmatic) Hoping for miraculous recovery by the weekend to try a gentle run!

I too am doing rwr strategy, we won't be last.
We wait until our last runner has come through so don't you worry about being left behind.

Hi everyone! Sorry we're a little late to the thread, just got back from a week abroad.
Gladrags, yes, that would be right.

Mike Frog will keep you posted
I plan for 11mm so that would take me to 3pm if takes 45m to start. I will leave some goodies
Sorry 2pm, blimey hope that isn't fate!
45m to start would be extreme chicken? if you're pen 9 on the red start it usually takes up to 25 minutes
Last year I was 44m to cross the start, I may move to pen 8 this year with my (unrealistic) expected finish time.
- sorry chicken - guess I was in pen 7 or 8 and it took 10 minutes from there - perhaps pen 9 is bigger than he other pens?

red pen 9 was full of fancy dresses and those expecting to walk, there is something very humbling about being overtaken by someone dressed as a rhino.
How long is this marathon then?
I well remember being beaten by Scooby Doo
I am planning to go the Expo on the Saturday, to collect anything that you guys have dropped off that you want handed to you on the day
GLADRAGS - everybody in the world would like to kip on your floor .....
(not me obviously as I am heading for Mudchute, not Blackheath)
Hi folks I've only just remembered about the support group at Mudchute. Do I just add myself in here or should someone add me to a group? Thanks x
Well, really you're supposed to add yourself on the runners and supporters thread here:-
http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/spring-marathon/london-marathon-runners-and-supporters-thread/271019-8.html
and someone will allocate you to one of the groups ...
Thanks, I'll get onto that now x

Anyone else suffering?
I've got a terrible cold but hopefully it won't stop me supporting.
