It is pretty flat Andy. I`ve done it twice and the second half is quite tough imo. The field is thinly spread as the HM ers depart and the stiff breeze around Holme Pierrepont is a killer.
I hated the first part with the industrial surroundings.... Not very attractive. I liked the last bit. No runners, some water and some softer tracks. I even ran on the grass around the water and quite enoyed that
It is quite nice, they have nice medals (as if that matters but still) and the atmosphere is quite relaxed. I did my first HM there in 2011 and the ful in 2013 This year I will run the full again
Did this last year and really enjoyed it, course good and like others preferred the second half to first - less crowded and really nice park/lake surroundings. Prob won't do this year, only reason is like to try different events and see different cities, would recommend though to anyone considering it.

Yes I have like last year
Think I`ll do Chesterfield instead this year. It`s a new one.
A mate and I are interested in this one. Looks pretty flat from the route on the race website

Yeah, lots of people were complaining about the slightly bizarre tour of Boots HQ. `Different`.
Thanks for the updates both - by the latter part I'll probably be stumbling aling looking at my feet anyway - as long as I don't end up in the river!!

Considering entering this as my autumn marathon as well

Going to be signing up for this end of June, did it last year as my first half marathon so will be nice to do it as my first full as well.
