Right now I use a pair of running shorts with a zip pocket middle-rear, just below the waist band. These are really tight shorts so I wear baggier running sohrts over the top - don't want any ladies fainting as i sprint past!
This is comfy. But said shorts are at the end of their life and I haven't found anything similar to replace them.
How do you carry your iphone? I like using it for strava, rather than music, so I don't need constant access and I don't want one of those straps that goes on your upper arm.
Any ideas?

Waterproof (and sweatproof) fabric. Works for me. You can take cards and notes and a key with you too if needs be.
Failing that - get a High5 gel belt. Put your phone in a plastic bag and you're good to go.
Cougie - that's smart. With a separate pocket for akey so it doesn't scratch the phone. I can feel another (expensive) shopping trip to Decathalon coming on ...
I use a high 5 gel belt, or Ron Hill Cargo shorts.
