Anyone taking part in any or all three events? I'll be doing the half mara, had to pull out of the full as training has been shit but looking forward to it, looks like a superb weekend. Tenby will be buzzing!
I'm down for the full swim but in two minds at the moment as sea swimming wasn't a great experience and don't want any distractions before Bolton. But I'm sure by next week I will have MTFU and will see you both down in lovely Tenby
Superb, I won't be in Tenby on the Friday unfortunately so can't support the swim but will be arriving early Sat and staying till the Monday, so will be having it large at the after party will you both be in pirate kit? I'll just be in the buff...the pirate buff!!
I'm down from about 10 Friday morning, staying in Tenby for the night, then home after the bike.
Weather not looking too bad, sea looks relatively calm. Unsure about the tide though, 5 pm high tide, so it'll be a fair way out when the swim starts at 7, we'll be swimming on an outgoing tide, and by the cut off time of 9 it'll mainly beach left.
Just passing on a note from Jim at Xendurance - if any Pirates are looking to stock up - remember to let him know that you're a pirate for at least 25% off.
I was signed up for the bike and 1/2mara, but looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow it's looking potentially quite wet. I wanted to have a go at the bike course on my TT bike but I'm not sure I fancy a miserable, nervy day in the rain especially as it will mean leaving home at 3am!
I could have a lie-in, do a retrace of a local hilly sportive in the dry tomorrow, and not waste 8 hours driving plus goodness know how long faffing and hanging around. Actually, putting it like that, even with no rain it seems no contest!
This year for me is about enjoying training, getting to the start line in one piece, and leaving the pointy end of the race to other folks (well OK, my AG race isn't really at the pointy end of anything!). So, unless the forecast changes radically later today, there will be a (single) room going spare in one of the Esplanade hotels tomorrow night, if anyone's interested.
Its beautiful here........really hot out running at 8 am and its blue skies all around......I am just north of cardiff...so tenby is another 90 miles west of us......
Blue sky here in Haverfordwest (only a matter of miles from Tenby) and sun is shining. Forecast has been for rain here a lot lately but mostly had sunshine instead
Cheers Barry. As I've said, I'm down for the rest of the week. May be up for a ride if you and Aled are around. As long as I get permision from my wife, and my legs are healed enough.

Hope weather holds.

Full swim, Full bike and no running for me. Looking forward to it.
Weather permitting the pirate gilet will be out on Saturday. Feel free to say hello if you see me
