Morning - spin, run, swim this morning. Sore achilles for me so *whisper it* I might not train tonight. Beautiful day, but 7 degrees when I left the house, ouch.
Yep It's not the running that worries me... it's getting to T2! Doing an LDWA tomorrow - decided to do it about an hour ago! Will bike on Sunday and the weather will remind me how wet the swim is on Monday! Perfect training weekend.
Afternoon all - sitting in the sunshine in Bournemouth after a disastrous sprint tri this morning, all good fun though. Got lost in the swim and trapped inside my new wetsuit in T1, have decided just to spectate as Mr F does the swim this afternoon, hypothermia just isn't my thing. I think there is Thames Meandering happening today, so belated good luck. Long weekend, woo!
woke with a headache so decided not to go out for the planned long run, looks like it will be in the rain tomorrow instead. Got to visit the inlaws, get the gerbils back, buy some food and visit my parents today so a bit of a busy day ahead
Evening - 10 mile run at 6.30 plus 45 mins looking for my friend's house key which I dropped in the woods, still missing. 58 OR, no, that is not a typo, it all happens at SOC in Sandbanks. Another day off tomorrow, woo!
58 OR kate?? Was there a club run? Well done for bothering to count them!
I went for a run last night in the end to get rid of the day of visiting older people, and the bottom of my calf/achillies area felt sore, more tight than anything I think but painful to run on. Only started half way through an out and back run, so did 9 miles. Think I need to hunt out the foam roller and maybe book myself in for a sports massage
blimey... 58 OR. There are only about 6 OR in our whole village!
Drum roll..... I swam this morning. TaDah!! I had forgotten how odd it was to swim in the public lanes. You've got to be so much more attentive of slow swimmers otherwise you could bump nose first into the gusset of an uber slow breaststroker! Not good for world peace! On the shoulder injury front - it still hurts but should be OK to get me round a half ironman swim as long as I don't follow Kate's example and get lost!
Apparently we are off to the Ashford Retail centre soon. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing!
Get stretching Maths. Gratuitous advice alert - go and buy some "natural hero". It's a ginger based muscle rub and is magic. It's very easy to self massage the bottom of the legs and that will be better for you than rolling IMHO.
Morning peeps.... don't get too wet. I think Birky has stolen the summer today. It's a driech (sp?) and miserable day down here!
Comments

I know I know my 'sense' of humour...
Ha! Love it! I never see owls' around here. Ive seen a woodpecker once
