great day biking in the forest yesterday, but I had forgotten what hard work mountain biking is! Got to swimming club as well though so all good.
going to do yesterday's long run this afternoon after OH gets home from work - didn't want to leave the kids for ages this morning, although they might not even have noticed!
Bum, earlier post lost, new PB of 12.37 but could have gone 5 mins quicker and got on the podium. Nonetheless, great race, lovely place and back next year.
ran yesterday afternoon - well, walked a lot because of soreness in lower calf/achillies. Seems ok today though, and it was ok up until about 10 miles. Will have to see how it behaves over the next week or so
Morning and welcome back. I see we've got the late summer morning mists out there. All of the spiders webs are lit up with droplets of water. Beautiful.
Morning all - I'm a SOC runner again, hooray! Bed at 8pm last night and feel human again, so just 4 miles and a core and upper body garage workout. I think PSC might have recovered from the weekend already. More marathons this weekend Emmy? New job start this week MC?
PSC - í'm impressed with that! I struggle to run in the evenings and much prefer SOC (although SOC is now becoming dangerous o'clock with the amount of times i've nearly been knocked over
Kate - great that you're back to normal That's a nice long sleep! My next race is next weekend's double. This weekend is packing madness (oh what joys...).
Nope - In Benelux for the month whilst i'm getting myself sorted for the move again. I swear - after this one - i'm not moving again.... or alternatively being so minimalist i can move in a suitcase!
The next two races for me are:
Saturday 13th is a small marathon near Leiden in fancy dress (cowboys). There are only 25 marathoners and roughly 25 teams running in relay.
Sunday 14th is in Belgium for the in flanders field marathon. A lovely marathon along the battlefields around Ypres.

Morning gang...
Good luck this weekend Kate. I will think of you still spinning around the bike course when I finish Vit!
It's the weekend already (OK, so I've taken today off work)! Happy Friday folks....
RACE WEEKEND! My first tri this year.
good luck PSC - wish I was going, loads of people I know are going to be there, but I am a bit busy
psc: All the best with your first Tri.
LOL... not my first one ever.... my first this year! (just in case anyone thought I had gone senile)!
Cheers guys.

well done to PSC on the vit tri yesterday
Well done to PSC!
Hi everyone! A busy weekend for me on the house but still out running a beautiful morning here as the mist was covering the fields.
Maths - hope you're feeling better and get a better nights sleep tonight

wow, well done kate that's an amazing time
Well done Kate! That's a great PB!
Out again this morning and was absolutely lovely. Managed to push the legs a little and felt suprisingly good after it!
evening all

Mr F had an absolute blinder, 5.59, with a 2.49 bike split. Now we have a four hour delay at the airport, not impressed!
5 hour delay, 2am home, 5.30 wake up and now on the turbo, aargh it's going to be a long day. Morning all!
I'm clearly grumpy, I just thought it's a bit bloody misty out there.
Morning all,
Maths - how is your achilles this morning?
Kate - that's a great time for Mr. F!! 5hour delay sounds awful!
Went out this morning and the sun was just rising as i made it home. Autumn is well and truly coming
8 mile run after work - smashed it! Summer running! Love it love it love it. Recovery run - I don't think so...

Back round the lake in MK Emmy?

Oh wow, both sound great. There's no way you'd even get all of your medals in one suitcase!
I'm needing to look for a better storage solution. My one vase is getting full
hi all
yes, started the new job this week which is why I haven't been online much. First day of classes today and I am totally shattered.
ankle/calf/achillies/whatever it is was niggly last night when I went for a run
turbo this morning and the fan wasn't working so it was a bit hot and sweaty
emmy - what job do you do that means you move around so much?
Morning! Just core work this morning as a stupidly early commute, running and pool later.
Maths - How is the new job? Are the students OK? Well done on still getting on there! I'm a Project Manager so i work in 3 locations.
PSC - how are you feeling after your event last weekend and some great runs this week?
Kate - What specific core work do you do? I'm looking to improve that at the moment.
A supposed easy 10k turned into a tempo run this morning. I struggle to keep it nice and easy
I can recommend fitnessblender.com Emmy, loads of different stuff to do.
