This is my absolute favourite event of the year. I'm trying to decide between the marathon or the 10k... The marathon would be ace, but the 10k leaves me more time to soak up the atmosphere and relieve the WI of some of their cakes...
So this seems right up my (new) street.
I did the marathon this year and it was an absolute cracker. super scenery, super atmosphere and great value. Might do 2015 but am booked for the Larmer Tree full and fancy the Ox full having done the half this year, might just do the Sydling 10k next year not sure yet.
Goldbeetle - is there anything "special" if you do the "grand slam"?
2016 there will be
Next year we are concentrating on fine tuning the 5 races and make sure no one dies
2016 we will offer a "full house" tshirt or something like that for all finishers of the big five or six if you do the Bad cow double
Still toying with the idea of a special "pop up" different route and venue each year
I was looking for a new (for me) race in 2015 and came across this gem. The humour on the web site was enough...I'm in!
slowinup - if you think the humour on the website is good...wait til you get to the race itself!
Slowinup last couple of years the race inself has been slightly overshadowed by the camping booze up after just in case if you can I'd make a weekend of it.
I like to think of that as a "real highlight"
There's nothing like a bit of drunk communal showering!
ok, so I'm beginning to get the idea..... the run is an add-on to all the eating, drinking and dancing.
E mmy, The last communal shower I had, the water was so damn cold I just wanted to get my kit ON...

Ah, not doing it 2015 but loved this year's race! Am doing Larmer marathon in March, the medals look so pretttty. Might have to buy a tshirt too...
