Long tops for running -ladies

Hi I'm looking for recommendations for long tops to cover my bum whilst running. I'm 5ft 10 and wear men's xl tshirts over my running tights and underneath a jacket but would prefer the top to be even longer. Just feel self conscious and want to feel at ease whilst running. I see men wearing shorts over their running tights and wonder if this would be an option but a skirt would look better. Anyway thought I'd open up the question to the masses and hope I'm not the only one feeling this way.

I wore shorts over my old running tights, they have to be thin though, otherwise its get annoying! About to go out and test some new ones tomorrow without shorts. As long as the tights are thick enough no one should see through them, is this what you are worried about?
I used to wear shorts over mine as was also self conscious. However, I'm no longer self conscious, not because my body has turned into a size zero, but because I no longer care. I'm out there exercising and it doesn't matter.
I do still wear over sized tshirts though.....
Thank you. The tights are thick but i just don't like showing my bum even when wearing jeans so that's why i feel more comfortable covering up.
Have a look at cycling tops that have a 'tail'. This is what I use for a top layer when it is windy/cold as for some reason I always get a really cold bum!

I always wear shorts over my tights in the winter, mainly because it's warmer and it gives you more pockets to put things in. I think it looks quite nice too. I'm not so sure about a skirt though.
