Morning.
Lyrics - Johnny had a plan, gonna see the world
Very good Blisters, made me smile.
I'd like to do the GSR again Oliver, it's where my husband and I first met in person - having 'met' on here - have you run it before?
That is very naughty of the council Alehouse - someone in too much of a rush from the sounds of it.
What: short and easy
Why: Sunday
Last hard: recovering/tapering
Last rest: 3/10

Morning!
Lyrics: no
Yesterday’s lyrics were “Jilted John”, by Jilted John. When this got to number four in the charts in the summer of 1978 I was sharing a house with “Jilted John” who is actually called Graham Fellows. He later became a near neighbour before a re-incarnation as John Shuttleworth: I imagine some will know him in that guise from his radio 4 show of that name, amongst other projects, the latest of which is to open a recording studio in the Orkneys so that he can be a neighbour of OH!
What: something gentle this evening
Why: it is turning out to be a very gentle week. Peak flow now substantially down (350) so it looks like GP tomorrow.
Morning.
LMH: Nope, will be the first time running GSR. And what a nice story, better work on some speed work, specifically speed dating if I want to find a future wife.
AH: Very interesting, nice claim to fame. Enjoy your run and hope your peak flow goes back to normal soon.
What: 30 mins. easy.
Why: 29.59 is too little and 30.01 is too much.
Last Hard: A long, long time ago, by the end of September.
Last Rest: Monday.
Lyrics: Possibly, will have to wait 'til the big reveal.
Have a good day.
What: 5 miles easy
Why: getting back into things
Last hard: I should say Sunday only it wasn't really ...
Last rest: 6/10
Lyrics: no
What: JS group run with no extras
why: ticking over
last hard: Saturday
last rest: yesterday
lyrics: no
Did you ever get any answers the last time your peak flow went down like this Alehouse?
It was a really well organised big race when I ran it Oliver and very enjoyable - as long as it's not too windy! Hope you have somewhere nice to stay, the first year I did it my friend and I ended up in what turned out to be a rather rough B&B. When Mark and I went back to run it a year or two later I found a rather nicer 'boutique hotel'. A nice weekend away - bit of a journey for you.
Do keep it easy chicksta.
When are you off OH?
Much colder out walking Grace this morning, think it will be capris, long sleeves and fingerless gloves for my run this morning. I'm not looking forward to the race on Sunday
hello
Might do the GSR again one day, should do really - it's less than an hour away. Ran my first sub-70 then, taking minutes off my PB. More years ago than I care to remember. The girls have since done the Bupa junior races there several times.
I'm sure I saw Jilted John in his comedy guise at Glastonbury or Reading before. Could be mistaken though. Still know all the words to that song though.
what - under 11 coaching so light running
why - routine
last rest - saturday
last hard - Sunday
Lyric - I think so
Oh and good to see the allocation of club places is reduced for VLM in 2016 due to a spike in the numbers of GFA places. Our club used to get 3 , let's hope that stays the same.
morning all

LMH like you I would love to do GSR again, I really enjoyed it
wow alehouse your lyrics had quite a story.. enjoy the gentle and good news on the peak flow
Oliver I do love your posts! GSR - oh yes the wind...
Dustin, enjoy the light running
Well I am happy again to say no bad after effects from a very hilly race (or 8 lots of hills in a 5k). I was slow but I smiled far too mauch at the supporters I was told, well I don't mind admitting I was delighted to be able to even if slowly! 29.40 5k
What: similar to Dustin, light running with beginners -
why: its my turn but it is there first run so it will really be easy
last hard last night
last rest tuesday

Afternoon all,
Have a good one!
Afternoon
I'd like to do the GSR mainly because i find something special about 10 miles. Probably because there's not many of them. I've done the distance twice 1989 and 2010 It will be before 2031
What: 1.83 mile
Why: Day 8 keeping it going
Last Hard: Yesterday
Lyrics No
Though i haven't described todays run hard it wasn't easy but its feeling more comfortable i walked up the hill and started there, there were other hills though. Met boss on my walk, with one of her dogs maybe making fuss of dog helped probably not
10 miles - perhaps long enough to get to know another runner but short enough to allow time for post race mingling!
I have done 2 @10 mile races Pontypridd reverse 10 and Brecon.
Brecon is like running up steep mountains and Ponty is so long ago forgotten what it was like
Also on the iplayer is http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b06fngch
Not sure if anyone outside of Wales has heard of Alfies Angels last one is on Friday to see how the ladies did at Cardiff
Miles makes smiles.

I notice it's National Poetry day,
Hip, hip, hooray,
And so here is what I say,
callooh callay.
Did me run,
That's me done,
It was such fun,
Despite lack of sun.
Therefore art thou sun, thou doth sod off in time of need and want and whatnot.
But enough of that, let's see whether the forumites have been up to a lot.
Chicksta: Hope the 5 miles went well,
And the rest of your day was swell.
OH: Hope the JS Group went 'reet.
Easy runs are ever so sweet,
And I'll have 10 miles to flirt,
Or 10 miles of face in the dirt.
LMH: Booked a Travelodge in Croydon on Friday, then Southampton next day,
Will drive to Portsmouth on Sunday, luckily the clocks go back, oh yay.
'Tis a bit of a trek,
But what the heck!
Dustin: Hope the coaching was good,
As for GSR,you really should.
Wabo: Merci beaucoup, and hello to you too.
Glad for your race, bet you were ace.
Emzap: Aha, enjoy your evening something, whatever it is,
May hold the wedding in a race (the marriagethon), 26.2 miles o' bliss.
WP: £41, so not outrageously so,
As for the speed dating, answer is no.
Saw about Alfie's Angels whilst watching the Cardiff half.
May watch it later, it should be a laugh.
Rocky: Today may cause you to gasp,
But sure success is in ya grasp.
Pammie: I find it funny how a usual distance is considered to be 13.1/26.2,
Yet 10 or 20 mile races are a peculiar distances to go through.
Think that's it, I don't envisage becoming a poet laureate,
Oh well, I guess I'll see you later, you can bet.
Love it OL, well done
GSR - is a great run.... remember running the year Gyrt Thys won it, and I was really pi**ed off that I had lost time (about 2 mins) in the last 2 miles in the wind and rain.... till the re-run on ITV as it was then, and he said he lost at least 90 secs on the run in.... that made my day.... Hoping to get a club entry for this year, as now refuse to pay £45 for a 10m race...
Hill work for me tonight (10 x 200m hills)
Off for the weekend for Mrs RFJ's birthday (expensive time of year), going to Cambridge....
Take care
For a lonesome runner:
If ma cheeks are reed, ma lips are blue, ma brow's all drippin', how (...) can ah get lucky wi' you?
6 miles on a better evening here
No Silvia Plath this year?
Cambridge, my home town RFJ. I know its a shock - I haven't been on this forum for many years, but I'm still running after a fashion
