6.6 on Sunday before work and a quick 4 miles tonight after work, easing in gently to 2016 , plan to run 10 Marathons this year so the miles will increase before long , great running folks
What a glorious day here in sun-kissed Reading. Blue sky, gentle breeze, crisp frosty air, ground mostly firm underfoot along the trails and the Thames like a millpond.
No excuse not to put on the off-roaders and go a bit further, so I did. Declaring 13.21 miles and feeling good
Same here Muttley, clear skies and a calm sea means great conditions so it would've been rude not to pop out after work but unfortunately it was one of those bad runs that I just want to forget about. 10.2 miles in the bag, short run Thursday and parkrun Saturday, next long run on Sunday hopefully.
That's a full diary Martin, and Harminder. I've only got my eyes on two marathons at the moment but I'm sure at least a couple more will find their way into my diary-probably more!
No marathons booked for me...yet...although I have a Grizzly and Hartland Heartbreaker entry in the diary, both the equivalent of a road marathon I reckon.
rest day for me today, have run 4 days on the trot (excuse the pun) so a little stretch this evening and maybe a film.
PompeyMatt and Martin, great going chaps. (ladies too),
8.89 miles in 93:12 minutes takes me to YTD 100.05 miles in 17 hours 19 minutes and 53 seconds. Dymchurch marathon on Sunday.
Has anyone done the Valentines Day Challenge before, not keen on trail races so need to know. Was only joking about looking for a companion - 'er indoors will tell me off.
Evenin' all! Very impressed by all the marathons planned by folks on here - DEFINITELY no marathons for me... half max.!
Rest day yesterday. 5.06 miles tonight with 4 miles at just over tempo pace. Very happy overall - especially since I had heartburn for the middle third of the run, so the pace was surprisingly good.
Funnily enough, AndyS2 expressed my feelings exactly... I've been really positive and enjoying my running - so much so that my work colleagues have commented on how cheerful I am at the moment!
6 miles tonight. I would say it was cold but a new Canterbury cold gear base layer and a pair of gloves had me warm as toast. Lovely run along the canal tow path to avoid any icy concrete.
I am blessed with the weather. About halfway through today's jaunt the cold grey cloud cover dispersed so the rest I did to weak but rather pleasant winter sunshine. An enjoyable 7.07 miles done, of which just over 6 were at a fairly steady pace (somewhere between plod and tempo).
Great mileage going on here. Am afraid have slacked and missed one or two runs this month here and there and am on a "rest" day today
So a measily 43.15 for me (although 1000 is my "stretch" target with 850 my actual target) but already heading for biggest Jan in 4 years, unreal huh ?
330....43m is NOT measly, there's a diverse mix of folk on here which is great and we'll all be logging the miles at different rates. (1000 will be a 'stretch' for me too!!)
Nothing much to report here but I managed to devise a nice two mile city centre loop from home that includes the gym at the halfway point so I can now add a mile each way when going to the gym. No gym today but I tried the loop for the second time and quite enjoyed it!
Great going, I am trying to keep up with you - only in miles not time though.
Have decided to do the Parkrun course a second time before running home - my local is less than 1/2 a mile from my doorstep so I run the one that is two miles away as it adds four miles for the day - with the double Parkrun its a fraction over 10 miles.
Spoke too soon! Bit of a mare tonight, planned intervals as part of 6.5ish route but something didn't seem right from warm up, probably should have accepted it then and just ran easy but tried to continue as planned. Half way through first interval just stopped and walked. No thought process, just happened! Got myself back into a bit of a jog but almost embarrassed to claim a pretty meaningless 4.

Brass Monkies tonight but at least it wasn't windy. Track session but felt good and strong. Only a tidler mileage wise. 3.5m

Just over 76 miles so far
It's all relative of course, Javed who is doing The spine and the reverse Spine will have done 536m for the year soon but hey we can only do our best.
bt - 536m since Jan 1st? That's a marathon a day!
4.8m undulating miles for me tonight.
YTD = 43.32
good running everyone. Heard of the spine race which is some effort but a reverse spine is something else altogether.
Easy run this morning 6.11 miles.
YTD 74.31
Good day all.

'Er Indoors does the local one - bless her.

Andy - don't worry, we all have bad runs every so often. You'll be back on form next run I'm sure.
6 more miles to log this evening - so up to 53 YTD.
These things happen Andy, I tend not to dwell on them for too long but focus on the next run.
