Hi all, London 2016 will be my first full marathon and I have a question about getting to the Red Start. I will be coming into Waterloo and it looks like getting to either Greenwich or Maze Hill will involve a bus or walk to either London Bridge or Canon Street. Am I just better off going from Waterloo East to Blackheath and then walk to the Red Start from there? Is it a long walk? TIA

Get the jubilee Waterloo to London Bridge and a Greenwich train from there...
Walk from Blackheath is fine too - but Blackheath train might already be packed b the time it reaches Waterloo East.....
I think there will be a few thousand people doing exactly the same mister nibbs, you can just go along with the crowd, don't underestimate how early you will need to be up and breakfasted, as soon as you get to Waterloo it will be like a football crowd all the way to the finish line
and you need lots of time for the toilet queues
