So I was wondering if anyone here has a bucket list ? Mines less of a list and more of a vague mental idea of things I'd like to do in life Two things I know I'd really like to do are to go whale watching and qualify for go age group triathlon What's on your bucket list?

Fly in a fighter jet
Run all three canal ultras in one year (LLCR130, GUCR145 & KACR140)
Do an ironman
See a bit of the world (far east and Asia)
Learn to play a musical instrument
Smash Justin Bieber in the face with a cricket bat
See the Northern (or Southern) lights.
Watch a volcano erupt.
I thought bucket lists were supposed to be achievable in some way?
I'd better keep quiet on this subject. Retrospectively, loads of things, mostly accidents.
I do have a picture of my wife chatting to princess Di.
That was also an accident.
🙂
To spend a night with Kylie, a gallon of shipped cream, and a punnet of raspberrpies
Adding that to mine Jamie. Super ambitious but think of all the history to be running through. Recently been enjoying runs along Nottingham waterways and it's a different world away from the streets. Really nice.
I've emailed the organiser to put my name down for next year. I want to do something big next year and this could be the thing I attempt. Would have to really commit to the training, finding the time with an 18 month old and another one due in March could be an achievement in itself.
No comment Jamie. You might be able to do it but don't get stressed if you have to put plans on ice because someone else is making plans for you.

I'd say that mix is a touch sandy unless laying underneath slabs.
My missus reckons on a mix of 1 part cement to 3 parts sand. Also that if wanting a sandy look to pointing, it's 1 part snowcrete to 3 parts sand + dye.

Bucket List:
The list of things you really want to achieve before you die.
For information, I'm not just using it for boasting. Last month I very, VERY, nearly did actually die. It's just beginning to dawn on me now.
My list used to be:
Climb Mt Blanc.
Run a Marathon
Meet and marry a girl before I was 30.
Rebuild my MGB
drive a Ferrari
Fly a plane
Well. I've done all of those, some multiple times.
MY totally refocused Bucket List?
To see my daughters happy with their futures under control.
To fly my plane again.
To get my MG back on the road again.
To get my fitness back. No need to do any more Ironman races.
Hmmm unfortunately I know to my cost that you may need two lines for that. However Iceland in horrific weather without the Northern Lights is still well worth a trip.
I made a bucket list of about 40 things I would like to do before I died about 5 years ago and it really helped me assess my life now and things I needed to get on with otherwise it would be too late - also if I only do one a year I would need to live to 83 to do them all so also provides good plans for holidays etc.
When I'd finished the list I felt a bit flat because there was so much I hadn't done yet so I turned over the page and managed to write down 82 stand out things I had managed to do and then I felt much better.
I never had a 'bucket list' as such, but I did have a set of modest ambitions which weren't beyond reason.
Nothing like my old dad though.
He only had one ambition, which was to fly a Spitfire. At 20 years old he did!
🙂
Bucket list: Straw, axe, whetstone, water. Optional: Liza, Henry.
I try to have a very short bucket list. Too many things on there and it makes it impossible to think about doing any one of them. It becomes a wish list, and I'd prefer to keep it as a to-do list.
At the moment, become a Snowboard Instructor.
The only thing on my list is getting a new bucket.
