I've checked junk, spam. daily for a week and the number they've given out has been engaged all morning. I guess they've got quite a few irate ballot entrants to contend with!
It was a get lost for me too. And I asked for my friend who hadn't heard and she's not in either. If I ever hear that London Marathen theme tune again it'll be too soon.
I expect the point of the rejection mags is that some people will thumb through and end up running for a charity. Whereas most folks will just reject the soft copy email version - I know I did
however last year I got a ballot place first time on applying, the amount you have to raise for charity puts me off so won't be going for a charity place
will look at white star running events for next year
Does anyone know what the numbers mean in the corner of address box on the acceptance form mean? My wife and I have 38045, my son has 39434 and his girlfriend has36757
The number next to the address box isn't the race number. I think it's unique to the applicant as I have the same one in the corner for my last 3 acceptance forms.
Race number should be further down the sheet. with the rest of your info
Millsy, we only all got in cause wife and I deferred last year ( I was offered a corporate entry and my wife had leave cancelled at last moment), son and girlfriend obviously gave the right answers on the entry form, lol
I received my annual rejection email on the 1st of October last year (I´m in the overseas ballot). The moaning and complaining when the rejection mags come out usually start 2-3 days before us foreigners got our emails. That´s why I always keep a close eye on this forum in late september every year.

LouP - the London Marathon have put a tweet out today telling people to call them if they haven't yet heard and they will let them know.
They also asked people to check their email junk folders...
Ditto LouP252. Good luck though. I wonder if any of us have got a place. I'm assuming not. Can't be much fun being on the phones at marathon HQ today!
Ooh - I'm through and I'm on hold!!! Watch this space...
Let us know the outcome, I'm going to try again now
Um, well I stayed on hold until my phone died! Still don't know.

I also need to call tomorrow. So frustrating waiting for a magazine/ email that never shows up!
I received my rejection email on 02/10 with a link to the magazine.
I have been offered a place with a charity but will likely decline as doubt I'll ever be able to raise their suggested target!
Better luck next ballot.
I got my email telling me I didn't get in,

I'm pretty sure that that 5-digt number is what your race number will be!

those numbers sure sound like race numbers
I stand corrected ! I knew I'd seen the race number on the form, added 2 & 2, & got 5!!! Don't know then! Millsy's explanation makes sense.
My bad
Think I must have someone else's rejection - I got both a magazine and an email! (or did everyone get both?)

Am looking forward to the "it's so unfair" threads to start popping up.
I'm sure I got an email saying by the 18th... dunno if that means they'll be out before then?
