Have just ordered the Julian Goater book for my kindle - when those guys talk it pays to listen!!! Can highly recommend the Jim Peters one - and if you can beg steal or borrow Ron Hill's books then do so - truly inspiring - (also Charlie Spedding's book) Finally it is a shame that Steve Jones was never persuaded to put pen to paper.
Can't remember what the name of the book is but Paula radclift had a good biography out a few years back and if i mention this I might get a pint this chap did a good book. Holgs
Feet in the clouds is brilliant for anyone wanting a good christmas book.
This is my ideal local library !
Thanks for the contribution, Cake: how could I forget Paula, or more especially, Holgs. He obviously goes to the top of the list!

I started this thread in 2012 and thought it worth putting out their again as it is getting towards that time of year again!
I'm sure there will be a few updates but it won't be too far out of date!
Hey,
Noticed on Amazon that John L. Parker Jr. has written a prequel to Once A Runner called Racing the Rain, published in 2015.
Still, there's plenty of books listed to last a few Christmases.
Thanks alehouse
80/20 running by Matt Fitzgerald
Sub-2hrs also sold a fair few copies, but I struggle to recommend it.
Add to novels, The End of the World Running Club by Andrew J Walker. It's a British, post-apocalyptic novel about a group of survivors trying to run from Scotland to Cornwall to board rescue ships headed for safer lands. Entertaining read.
