    Breathe Poppy image

    Enjoy the mob match Wabo.

One week won't matter too much Dustin.

My legs were surprisingly co-operative this morning and I enjoyed my run. Hoping the weather doesn't get as bad as forecast later this week.

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Thanks LMH
First heart op. Ablation to sort out SVT. Biggie keeping away for now image

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

  • Well done for getting out rather than making excuses Pammie - you got this!

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Hi all! I'm OK but having to lie low for a few days after lithotripsy so not much going on. Managed a short pool swim yesterday. I am trying my "carer's " patience too!

    Hope ablation is successful SC

our polar bear group is being interviewed for Economist 1843 magazine!

  • Hmm. Blank. Weight gain. Actually managed to get to a job of work today.

No run. Just feeling stressy, without a bedrock of stability. Somehow I just need a freedom run, without care or worry. A really nice and boring plod. I dream of a medium long run, going somewhere off the usual patch. Wish me a clear headspace.

  • Good to see you, OH. Hope Els is coping!

    Well done Pammie!

What: 35 mins, with 3k in the middle a little harder than the rest

    Why: habit

Hope you get a nice boring head clearing run in soon, Blisters!

    Hope you are OK OH

Straycelt good to see you in here, hope all goes to plan for 2017

    You sound frustrated Blisters!

    Rest day yesterday

    tonight was a track session 4 x 800m and 4 x 100m strides (4.77m in total)

    Take care all

  • Thanks all. No, SVT symptoms started the investigation into the other issue. Doc doesn't want me kept on meds and op is lo risk 95% success so seems sensible as new pb on parkrun last year of 249bpm image. SVT not an issue, just a condition but I'd like one less to manage.

Anyone doing Not The Roman Nine on Sunday?

  • RFJ Thanks, in many ways. Sorry for the negative brain dump. I know I sound like a wimp, and this is intended to be a focussed training forum.

It's a tough time of year, just judge from the lack of runners that you see out there. When you see another runner and you're on your session. Feel smug. You have all the right to be smug. That's the sort of thing that kept me going through the cold and dark in a marathon build up period. I'm hanging around here, hoping for the energy to rub off onto me. It will. I'll try to keep my negativity in a box, you lot don't need it.
