Morning.

Lyrics - Is it really necessary?

We've had a lot of rain overnight and it's still going, forecast to last most of the day and for the next couple, could be paddling rather than running. I so prefer training for an autumn marathon! Quite glad I'm not driving to York for Brass though it doesn't look as though they've had quite as much rain as we have and the wind isn't forecast to be as high there.

What:          hopefully at least a MLR
Why:           marathon training but non-conducive weather and niggly knee
Last hard:    getting the miles in could be hard this week
Last rest:     last year

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Do you have a race in the calendar RFJ?

LMH maybe we'll see on feet all night not too worried these manic shifts usually only happen twice a year getting ready for Christmas. Then recovering after Christmas and the sales.

Really pleased if I can work on running 3-4 times a week. Every week. Then I'll look at 5

Pammie, great to see you back in the (damp) shoes. I always found running three days per week harder to achieve than doing five. It was a guilt thing. On 5 it was a daily routine. Have I run today? No? Then I MUST get out there.
At the moment I'm in that guilty sector. I'd like to run more, but the excuses are portlier than the reasons to go out.
SC appears to have got a rush of blood to the head. Enough said.
Me? Probably the same, but different. I persuaded myself to go swimming. The commute? I chose to cycle 4 miles each way. Damp. OK. The fortune was that I didn't freeze. That was my fear. I also hate planning the bliddy logistics of normal life.
Swim, by the way, went quite well. I kept a chain on it. I deliberately downgraded a lane, as well as not trying to out-beef anyone. The dodgy L-hand performed well. I am chuffed by that. I also kept my race-head in a box.
