I just about managed to read all the great running over the weekend but when I came back to post I ended up here! Well done everyone on some amazing times. Lots of new pb's so clearly the training is going well. Puts the pressure on for me to pb in a few months time.
Had a nice easy 14 on Sat and now gearing up for some speed work this week with the hamstring feeling good. Feeling a little nervous but fingers crossed I wont have any ill effects.
Hi guys, long time no see. Have tried to keep up with the
reading but have had some laptop issues and then thought I might wait until the
new forum kicked in…
As always, totally impressed with the training and racing that’s
going on and pleased that my experience of P&D is confirmed by other, much faster,
runners.
Just completed week 9 en-route to Boston with the 16, 12 at
mara pace. Was going to say I’m happy with the way things are going but it’s actually
better than that. The comparisons with the schedule last year when I was in top
shape before London are starting to come closer together so I’m very
encouraged. Apart from the strides, which unfortunately, I never seem to get
round to doing, I’ve only missed one session so far. So week 10 is recovery, and
that will leave just 5 hard weeks before the taper!
Can't change this blinking icon. Says I don't have permission.
This website looks awful now!
Anyway my foot is improving. Did 8 miles last night and it was tight towards the end so stopped. But no pain thankfully and feels ok today. Hopefully I can get a few more miles on it this week
Just 6 easy miles. Calves are tight but no worse than I would've expected after racing a half. No achilles pain at all so I think I'm in the clear now, fingers crossed.
Love the pic Macca. So we're stuck with this shit then.
HA there are two Mrs Wands, like the book but one is my sister, which is different to the book I expect, never read it,like most books, even the ones on my book shelves. The slower one was my wife who got round in 2:28 off of about 2 miles a week and little else, so not too bad.
Damn it, my congratulations for the weekends racers got wiped almost immediately after posting. Well done again Tom, Tommo, Millsy and RSR. Jooligan that was seriously overdoing it !
Bum ache continues, mostly when sitting but also when giving it a bit of welly, so no welly has been given. 60 miles of easy running last week.
So we've lost two weeks worth of posts, and now you get email notifications on every post, even if you've not visited. What a shit show. Love the photo Macca Originally had a 6/6 double scheduled today, but 3.8 miles in the wind on Worthing seafront was enough for me this morning, and I think I've earned myself the afternoon off after yesterday, so not going out again!
All good banter Macca. Great picture-shame it's on this joke of a site. As Millsy said feels a bit like an end of an era with the old forum now gone. What a brilliant way to end it though with yesterday's PB fest! I suppose we will have to get used to this.......

Any new message on old forum may well be lost...agreed this is looking pretty crap though.
There is Fetch.....
