Saturday 11th March 2017 - Lord God Almighty let me tell the news

Morning.

Lyrics - Lord God Almighty let me tell the news

Enjoy the parkrun get together. Have a piece of cake for me:-)

What:             short and easy
Why:              no point in tapering as I can't race
Last hard:      getting back to where I was
Last rest:       25/2
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

    Lyrics: no

What: parkrun plus a few ks

Why: it's there...and hopefully that's where some other forumites will be.

LMH: are you still doing Silverstone, but at a reduced effort?

Yesterday's lyrics were "Sympathy for the Devil", Rolling Stones

I am Alehouse as Mark is keen (I'd stay at home and do a LSR otherwise). The plan is to run it at what I hope to be MP if I can get my legs to move that fast which I'm not sure I can yet.

I'll call it carb loading emzap:-)

Are you still marathon training Ollie?

Afternoon again; made it back after inhaling the scent of McVities for a good few minutes hours.

LMH: Hope the short and easy went well, and enjoy tomorrow.  I'm hoping to get a 20+ mile run in on Monday, and again the week after before Manchester, but Nottingham marathon is going to be the one I go for, so just gonna treat Manchester as a long run with a medal.
AH: Good seeing you today, nice going on the parkrun pacing.  I'll be doing Bruntwood next week.
Emzap: Nice to meet you this morning, well done on the sub-25 on the labyrinthine course.  Enjoy your stay in Manchester.
WP: Nice going on the 3 miles today, though sorry to hear that the lyric streak is now over, I think my record is 2.
Dustin: Good going on the 12.25 mile steady run this morning.
SC: Nice job on this morning's parkrun, hope Tae-Kwon-Do goes well today.
    Have a good day. image

Sounds like a good weekend already SC.

It went better than yesterday's Ollie which is good. I'm thinking of Nottingham too but haven't decided yet. Will probably see what happens at London.

Lmh had a great Jaffa cake brownie and then half a home made vanilla donut. Ollie and ale you should check out ABC brewery on a Saturday, pop up restaurants and beer

Sounds good, Emz! Is it this place:
    http://alphabetbrewing.co.uk/the-tap-yard/

Was so busy talking with Emz that I have only just realised that I left my warm up gear at the parkrun!

Oops, ale ... Hope it wasn't any valuable kit.

    Nice parkrunning, folks.

    And a solid 12+ Dustin

Fingers crossed your legs do what you want them to do tomorrow, LMH.

What: an hour in the pool and an hour running
Why: just for the hell of it
Last hard: I'm still a lousy swimmer
    Last rest: 17/2
    Lyrics: no

Hope someone has kept it somewhere safe for you Alehouse.

Home made vanilla doughnut sounds very nice emzap - I'm guessing it wasn't gf though?

Thanks chicksta - not breaking them is the first objective.

My kit is like me...old. Have emailed the organisers but not fussed if I never see the kit again!

My heart in better nick than Scotland squad. Played with commitment but (far) better team won :-(
