Sorry Mallowpuff. You should have said and I would have saved my rain dance for a few days! Cycled past Bassenthwaite on Sunday and it was the lowest I have seen it. Will swim in Derwent on Friday and see if it has risen at all.

Where is everyone camping? Organising this has ended up being very last-minute for me!
I've checked the Camping & Caravanning Club site at Crow Park Road and it seems to be full up.

Good news. Derwent has water again. Swam there last night and the level has come up about a metre. Bad news is it is a tad chilly again.

There will one less Pirate at Lakesman- me

Officially withdrawn from start list today.

Luckily took out insurance ans had entry fee refunded. Had to pay for Dr note to prove I got asthma after I had entered.

Outlaw half a coupke fo weeks weeks ago and I just wasn't ready for 140.6miles this month.

Hopefully ill make Hamburg start line but finishing in 15:15 will be a tough call......

I did see some pics from the Lakes at the weekend and it looked stunning. Fingers crossed we get that kind of weather eh ?

Did my 100 miler yesterday and only now are my running legs coming back after London. Any chance we can put the Lakesman back a month or so ?

I would think High Hill near Church Lane is good as the runners pass there 3 times each lap or the finish as there will be the expo and a bit of an atmosphere there.
