Morning!

Lyrics: Makes me feel sad for the rest
Nobody does it half as good as you

Go well, anyone running a marathon today! Hope the song title will be appropriate later!

And anyone running a half, go well also. And any other racers!

What: probably fitness suite

Why: niggly legs struggling to run at present

Hope Wabo can pop in with a progress report on her daughter.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

That's good kilometrage Chick! And you do know the lyrics which are not only stuck inside Benjy's head but mine also!

Easy 5 this morning, just a gentle jog.

Good luck LMH and DD and anyone else racing.

Well done on the dirty 30 OH.  Strange day indeed.  Saw the hail on video but it never hit my side of Dunblane, very localised.

    Lyrics, yes.

5 km run scrapped in favour of 16km walk. Stopped at pub for lunch on the way. What beautiful weather
  • chickstachicksta ✭✭✭
Sounds like a much better option than the 5k em :)

OMG LMH. You legend!! Can't wait for your report :+1:
  • Just a quick one as we're not long home and I'm tired.

Nice to meet DD before the start - and near the finish:-)

I didn't get my 2.54 but I did manage a 22 second PB which I know I should be happy with - but you know how it is, if we were happy with what we got we wouldn't keep trying to get more:-) I didn't have anything else to give today though.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Well done, LMH! PB, improving your top spot in this year's ranking and up to 7th on the all-time age group list! And17 or so minutes off the course record. And 7th overall. And on not the fastest of courses: had heard this beforehand anyway and didn't want to say anything! If I am right it is a little undulating. And I bet it was hot! So there is scope for improvement! Be happy with today! Recover and then onwards and upwards! Exciting!
Did you run with Crab? Saw TR struggled.
Glad you met up with them and DD!
Hope Mark had a good day!
And am sure you are too tired to say you know the lyrics!

  • Sorry Alehouse - yes, I know the lyrics.

I ran with Crab until 24 miles, went on ahead unaware of why he dropped off.

Not really hot but not as fast a course as the elevation recorded would suggest. I'm not sure why. There's always scope for improvement:-)

Mark enjoyed the half which is the important thing.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
