Wabo: understand about pulling out. Glad you guys found another event. My goodness, 100 miles!!

  • Morning.

I'll swap chicksta - heavy rain here - it will be full waterproofs for Grace's walk and hope it dries up in time for me to get out for my MLR, working at midday so can't delay it and next opportunity is Thursday.

What:         short and easy or MLR
    Why:          heavy rain/tapering
Last hard:  feeling as though the summer is over
    Last rest:   12/6

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning all,
Really LmH you spoil that dog, does she really need full waterproofs...???
Actually bright here in old London town and made it in despite South West Guards having another day off.

What - coaching paarlaufs for the group, hoping to do some 400s myself
    why - routine speedwork
    last rest - 02/07
last hard - yesterday - QoP visit , a few needles in a niggly glute had me jumping a bit. Her elbows never get any less brutal in the ITBs either.
lyric - not sure I do

    Morning!

    Lyrics: no

What: Pilates type exercise this evening

Why: it is Tuesday and not risking running the day after a hard run session. Legs feel fine though!

    Very grey here at present.

Wabo: both Elvis and Assembly this week? I suggest you work in kilometres not miles: you get an even bigger number! Something like 144-145! And re the alter-g, it is brilliant as it off-loads weight so that you can run even with some quite serious injuries or for recovery from ops. Expensive though otherwise I would be using it more often.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning

Although the day started or my run started dry I am afraid the last 3 miles were bouncing off the pavement type Welsh rain;-)

    What: 8.1 miles
    Why: because I can
Last hard: Getting out of bed
    Lyrics: Nope

With the cooler weather I am having trouble getting out of bed.

    End of month stats:
Rest days 1......a new PB ever!!
    Races 0
Miles for July 237.01 a pb for 2018
    Best month of the year:-)
    ALF: Always a little further

Impressive stats, poppy. You must be pleased.

35 degrees forecast here. Please, let's swap LMH.

Happy to report 11 and a bit miles done (18k in my money :) )

I was sweating profusely but legs felt surprisingly good and pace wasn't as bad as I'd feared.

A quick entry today, got to bolt out of the door quick, running late for Ryedale show day. Think though doing an 18 tomorrow, had it loosely planned two weeks ago.

What: If I get back in time a gym session, if not only TKD tonight

    Why: Day out holiday fun

Lyrics: Hmmm... James Bond theme? A no from me

Staggers in from gentle sub 5 and says hi and bye. Life hectic. 4 nights down and 5 to go. Too many late nights and early starts...shattered but hey...show must go on :-)

  • Sounds positive Alehouse.

Good to get them in the bank chicksta.

    She's getting old Dustin  :)

I can't believe Cleo is going to be seven Wabo! Enjoy the racing.

    Nice consistency Poppy.

Hope you had a lovely day at the show Benjy.

Amazingly the rain went from heavy to nothing whilst I was faffing getting ready to run so MLR done. I guess that should be my longest run before the half now.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    What: rest
Why: went for an 8 km yesterday, got to 2, felt awful so turned back.
    Last hard: yesterday
Lyrics: nope (Ben your James bond made me laugh!).

    Have a lovely evening all.

    Sorry to hear that, em.

Poppy: 280 miles for the month. Like you I never thought this possible. A year ago I wasn't running a single step ... Very happy despite being slow.

Glad it stayed dry for your run, LMH.
