Morning!

Today's lyrics are, Three Six Nine, The goose drank wine

These follow yesterday's numbers: 2-4-6-8 Motorway, Tom Robinson Band.

What: fitness suite and short run

Why: weather! Supposed to rain until Sunday lunch! Achilles was not good yesterday and needs lots of stretching.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Lmh that's the bit I don't enjoy! I had a dream I forgot to take my running shoes to York and ran it in my ballet pumps!

    Work today, maybe yoga this evening
    Did swim last night (wind settled temporarily)
    That is a recurring dream for me - heading away to some event without a vital piece of kit!

    Glad it's Friday!
    What - easy lunchtime run
    Why - ticking over, it's a double header this weekend: Hampshire XC at Bournemouth tomorrow, and a neighbouring village has a charity run for local schools on Sunday, so that's 10k over rutted farm tracks. Will be a useful recovery run. There is a BBQ and cake stall. I have no idea why I entered...

    Not sure what I'll do this weekend, not the ridgeway run sadly.  Maybe a park run if I feel up to it.

    Dustin - hope you get better weather than Alehouse is forecast for the weekend.

    No run for me in the end as I don't want to go and get blown over outside.  It's awful weather!

    Go well the weekend racers! And don't forget you ballet shoes! 

    First half very steady, Emz! Don't get carried away with over enthusiasm! No doubt you will be getting lots of advice and have your own race plan: my thoughts would be to get all the ks between 5:30 and 5:40; nothing quicker and nothing slower for as long as! Above all enjoy it, and say hi to Benjy!

  • Only my 2nd ever session of yoga. First one was taster session at last year's Cape Wrath Challenge. It was tough - I'm as tight as a clockwork spring and have no sense of balance. Hopefully loosened me up for Sunday?

  • I keep thinking that I really should make the time for yoga or Pilates OH but haven’t actually done so yet. I don’t think it can do any harm.

    A rest isn’t going to have hurt emzap. Hope the wind drops for Sunday.
