To your knowledge, does the form just appear on the site at 9AM CET? I'm trying to figure out if/how I can be on the right page at the right time.
Finally got charged today, it shows Pending charges from Mika Timing GmbH. Never been so happy to be charged for so much that I will cause lots of pain 🤣🤣🤣
Money tip.. the Halifax Clarity credit card doesn't charge extra currency conversion fees. I always use it for booking trips abroad, foreign race entry etc. FWIW when I ran Berlin back in 2000 entry was equivalent to 41euros (or 80DM back then!).

Thanks, unsure if their exchange rate includes conversion fees?
I have a card that can pay in euros so I used that, as there are no fees. €131 but I didn’t buy a shirt etc (approx £120). It’s expensive but hopefully worth it.
I booked my Marathon with sports tour international only to realised after 2 days that I got in the ballot entry anyway. Because I am travelling with family they gave only 1 hotel as an option which fits a family. Anyway I am happy that I got in.
What should my weekly mileage be from now leading upto the 4months before marathon ? any advice

Hey @friendly runner, depends on what time you're going for and how many marathons you've done.
All eyes on this one now, 152 days away.
Does anyone know if you receive a race shirt as part of normal ballot sign-up?
Training program starting in a few weeks time, doing 16 weeks as I want to go for my first sub-4, but the closer I can get to 3:30 the happier I'll be.
Recent runs have been at about 4:35-4:45min/km which is what I'll be aiming for at Vitality 10,000 on Monday. Got about 5kg to lose as well, so hopefully with a combination of good training and nutrition should be able to get at least sub-4 in September.
I am very ambitiously aiming for sub 2.45. My PB from Manchester this year is 2.53 which was set off 6 weeks training after a calf tear. So there is a lot of work to be done but I think I can get there. Got a few 5k/10k races over the next couple of months to work on my speed before I turn my focus to Berlin
My 18 week schedule starts on Monday at the Vitality 10000 Aussie! Did London last month in 3:36 so will be hoping to nudge that below 3:35 in Berlin. That would give me a 10 minute gfa cushion (V60) as I reckon its going to be tougher to get in this year.
Your target for Monday is very similar to mine Aussie so I would suggest that with a solid training programme a Sub-4 at Berlin should be your minimum goal and something closer to mine very doable. Stevie, I wish I could do one mile at that pace! Hope you can stay clear of injury this time round.
That's insane @StevieWh, well done on Manchester. What sort of a training plan are you doing for sub 2.45?
Great stuff @bobdidmadrid, that's an excellent London time and puts you in great stead for shaving off a few minutes in Berlin. I'll definitely be aiming for that, I think mentally I'm probably holding myself back a little bit as since I've not done sub 4 previously, aiming for 3:35 seems a bit step as it's taking about 45 mins off my previous PB (although that was my first marathon and it was the Athens one, which is bloody hot and bloody hilly).
Is that GFA for London or one of the other majors?
Agree. dont think you should use Athens as a yardstick for the reasons you state. GFA for London for V60 is 3:45 but depending on the number who achieve that they can lower it so the lower you can get your time the more secure you are - same applies across the age-groups. I should be ok with an 8 min + cushion but I'd like to make absolutely sure. At my age group Chicago and Boston are fairly similar but NY and Berlin are a lot tougher. I got in on the ballot for Berlin.
I think you are right about holding yourself back - I started with a 4:07 and then hovered around 3:50 for a couple of years. I then srepped up the training, list a few Kilos and have gone 3:42/3:39/3:36. As long as you pace your race well you should get very close to 3:30 I reckon.

Its certainly creeping up!
