A young kid who runs our local parkruns has just ran 18:26 as a Y5 10 year old. His age grade was over 92%. I know Parkrun don’t do league tables for kids, but has anyone seen a quicker time than this? I’ve seen the kid run on several occasions and he’s truly unbelievable. He’s won the local junior 2k Parkrun 56 times with a PB under 7 minutes, and it’s one of the toughest courses in the country. Watch out for the name Thomas Thake in a few years! Both parents marathon runners, and he’s has a sibling who is also running 5k in well under 20 minutes also as a JM10.

I do find it amusing that parkrun prides itself that anybody can complete it however they like - race it, walk it, just turn up and be part of it and nobody cares, but type Parkrun and all the pedants are out in force.
> Power of 10 do have all time rankings for parkrun, but U13 is the youngest age grouping. Still, there are over 60 U13s with a time quicker than 17:30.
I can't find parkrun rankings on power of 10, only individual runners times.
To be fair, the Po10 rankings do link through to RunBritain. The parkrun U13 ones are here:
