Hi everyone, long time no post, nice to see a lot of the old names still posting. ST, where did you disappear to after you set up your own business. Hi Chilli. Mikasa, Suckitup, Mathschick Steady and anyone I've missed. Got the Manchester half marathon in October so i better get some running done. lol
I would go out to 10 Mikasa and just run slower and easier
Has been a while, rehab took time and I didn't really use my TT bike this year but I returned to racing on Sunday at the Oulton park sprint duathlon, this is an ITU worlds qualifier and draft legal.
I finished 27th overall and won my Age Group, seem those early mornings on the watt bike and hours in the gym working out paid off.
My shoulder is still not perfect, I have a feeling it will now always just be a little fragile but the engine is just fine.
2019 is now all I care about as I want to do the Worlds and Euros in 2020 so hopefully no more crashing for a while unless it is into soft mud on a cross bike
I managed to better my HM time a bit, finished Cardiff half in 2:46. Great atmosphere, would recommend to anyone. Really busy though, over 18 thousand finishers.
had a bit of a tough year - my mum died from bowel cancer in August
got a few things planned for next year - outlaw half, and the usual local half marathons and 10ks that I generally do every year...some years are quicker than others!
Entered Ashridge Duathlon in January so that is the immediate focus then 2 more races in March after that I think there will be more MTB racing in 2019 plus the usual array of ROAD and TT
