Friday, 28 December 2018 - It's a one way street with an open end

Must have forgotten to submit yesterday's post. Hm...

So lyrics on the 26 the were Boxing Day, Blink 182

Today's are: It's a one way street with an open end

Good to see everyone getting their miles, rides and swims in. Back to work for me but at least I managed a little gym session. And hopefully 10 miles this morning. It's still warm, wet and windy.

Happy Friday, all.

  • Morning.

    Yesterday's lyrics - It's Over by Level 42.

Is this the start of your four day working chicksta?

    That's unusual routing OH.

    What:          short and easy
Why:           it's been quite a big week
    Last hard:   contemplating tapering
    Last rest:    27/11

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning all
    What - short and easy
    Why - work & recovery
    last rest - 15 days
last hard - Yesterday in the end: easy recovery in the morning, club's 5x800s in the evening. Not full out but kept honest by some clubmates. Stupid really after LTP on Wednesday.
    lyric - nope
  • Morning!

    Lyrics: no

What: short and easy...and hope it develops into something longer

Why: running to how the legs feel

    What's the plan taper-wise LMH

Bit of a disaster in the night: phone was on charge and it suddenly went "bang". Will have to get a temporary one shortly whilst I send this one for repair.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Take it easy Dustin.

Pain about your phone Alehouse. I plan to do the same as I did before the Vale of York Half.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Morning

    What 6 miles
    Why: because I can
Last hard : Getting out of bed
    Lyrics: Nope

Very cold this morning and the traffic was madness today but I was out much later than normal.
    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • Swim done 450m done on grey wet morning. Possibly run later.
Last hard: getting out of bed this morning
    Last rest: Christmas day
    Lyrics no
  • LMH: 4 day working week starts in 2019 so January 7 is my first official non-working Monday. Can't wait!
December 31 (and 24) are Bank Holidays here and I took January 2 off as well. So I have another 5 days off, 2 days of work and 3 days off. I think I can get used to this :)

    When is your next race?

Ale: That's scary! Was it one of those Samsung Galaxy phones that got all the bad press for exploding batteries?

Hubby dropped his iPad yesterday. Screen is gone to pieces (literally) - 169 Euros for a replacement glass panel. Quite outrageous. I know why I have been giving Apple products a miss.

Dustin: That's a tough session so soon after LTP

I did my 10 miles in the end but it felt a bit laboured. So strange that some days fast pace comes so naturally (like my LT run on Tuesday) yet on other days even easy pace is a slog.

  • Good use of holiday there chicksta. I have the Brass Monkey HM on 13th January. Pain about hubbies iPad - is it not covered on your insurance? It's a funny old game this running lark.

Traffic was very light here today Poppy - was there some event on locally?

Hope you had a nice fire to warm up in front of OH.

Oh thought I'd posted yesterday but obviously not.

What: a whole day of painting
Why: we have some time and we need to paint before we get the new carpet before we can build the wardrobe.
Last hard: that was!  I ache now!
    Lyrics: nope

Yesterday was a rest day, well more baby visiting, another 2 new relatives (and another was born just before Christmas!).

    Have a lovely evening all.
