Yesterday's lyrics - Life Goes On - Gerry Rafferty.
New running club Gobi?
Hope everything still feels ok this morning Alehouse.
Glad you are happy with your effort Hazel - it will get easier to pace them (though I expect you know that).
How is your knee Donaldo?
I've woken without a headache this morning which is nice. Taking MiL visiting this afternoon and have work (though fortunately not much) tomorrow and Thursday though so stress levels may be on the up again. Cold here this morning and breezy (don't laugh OH!) and forecast colder tomorrow - I'm really hoping it warms up for Sunday.
What: shorter than I'd like/hospital visiting Why: taper/MiL can't drive Last hard: trying to decide how best to support MiL Last rest: 27/11
Lyrics - no but I like the sentiment.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Morning all Lyrics no enjoy your new running club Gobi Hazel enjoy your rest day Dustin enjoy the 4 miles alehouse, have a nice sensible Tuesday lmh, what a lovely dil you are, hope you manage to fit it all in what: only a short run this morning, just under 2 why: time constraints, leaving early to go Wembley last hard: this morning, colder than I thought last r est: 31/12/16
have a good day all
possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
LMH lol, I realised last night when I gave my last bit of Tiffin cake to cleo that I had called it Tiffany! It is Tiffin not tiffany, yummy. Cleo passed her level 7 at Trampolining last night, I didn't join in!!
possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
Longer (than 5k!) Run this morning. Wind died down (only 20-25mph) but still driech. Last hard - finding mojo for longer runs Last rest sometime last week? Lyrics no idea
A sore hip is a new thing isn't it Alehouse? Running on uneven ground?
Do you enjoy rest days Hazel?
It was warmer than I was expecting by the time I got out this morning and bright and dry. I am so grateful that I can run, not sure I'd be managing anywhere near as well if not.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Glad your headaches have cleared, LMH. How far to drive is it for you to get your MiL to hospital?
Hazel: Well battled yesterday and a well deserved rest day today. It's good how some runs just keep you honest. I quite like to use my low key 20k winter series for those runs. I find it a lot easier to hit LT pace in company And it's such a good feeling to be tearing through the field on the last lap feeling mean
Dustin: today seems to be LT day I attempted mine too. Unfortunately my left hamstring started to niggle after about 4k (did my session on the TM and ran with an incline - not sure if that set things off).
Well done Cleo! Level 7 sounds quite acrobatic.
Storm alert here - we're also forecast high tide and have to remove our cars from the garage at work. They're going to shut the flood gates at 4:30pm.
The wind also killed our windsock at home:
What: botched attempt at LT pace on the treadmill Why: storm / hamstring niggle Last hard: admitting defeat and cutting my run short Last rest 21/12 Lyrics: no
Is that because your work garage may flood chicksta? Hope it isn't as bad as they are affecting. It's about an hour each way if the traffic isn't too bad.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Why: being careful after yesterday. Legs were generally tired and hip was fine when I ran, but a little tender both before and after. Lots of stretching and strengthening to come later.
Hope Wembley is good, Wabo!
Trust the storm and floods never happen, Chick!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
What: 5km time trial with local club Why: it was on and it gave me people to run with Last hard: that was Lyrics: nope
Nice flat route to the beach, the back along the main road to the harbour, through the harbour and back. A few roads to cross (pedestrians do not have any right of way here so had to be careful!), a lot of wind and a few patches with ankle deep sand. Finished in 26:25 ISH, think I was about 3rd lady.
Wabo awww trampolining, that's so cute!
Chick wow that sounds bad. Fingers crossed there isn't too much damage.
Lmh glad you're headache is a bit better. You're under a lot of stress at he moment.
Ale/LMH: The storm was pretty bad but luckily it's not the horrid North-Westerly that pushes the water from the North Sea our way . There just some local flooding but nothing too bad. We've had worse. They shut the floodgates just as a precautionary measure to prevent damage to those cars parked on the lower levels. Mine is on the ground floor .
Just did today's yoga session. That left hamstring is really sore foam rollering and spikey- balling it into submission now. Won't run tomorrow so it can sort itself I hope.
Club night tonight, first one for a while. Knee gave me some trouble due to the circular nature of the reps. 3 x 1 mile in about 6:18, taking it relatively easy, going out every 9 minutes - the bottom group of the night.
Club committee meeting tonight, all went well... trip perhaps to Bilbao later in the year as a club trip...
What - Ground testing, bounce, bounce - ouch Why - lost balance, regained it and over balanced so promtly went over... Last hard - The gound Last rest - 5 secs on the gound..... :-)
Seriously another fall, see the neuro specialist in a few weeks, so hopefully get some answers then..... 4.5m easy tonight
