Morning

Lyrics: Jamie, Harry, Friends
There's just a few more hours.

Not sure what I'm doing today as heading off to the middle of nowhere for a wedding. Will be offline for a few days I think.

Hoping to do villiersdorp parkrun tomorrow but let's see if there are tarred roads to get me there...

Good luck on Sunday lmh. Whatever the outcome, I hope you enjoy it.

Also anyone else racing at the weekend good luck and enjoy.

Ale hope the hips are feeling better.

Have a lovely day all

  • Morning.

I don't think it matters at all Hazel - it's the effort that counts.

Hope the snow doesn't cause you any problems chicksta.

I do that sometimes Donaldo (though very occasionally) as near as I get to any speed work. Good news on the knee.

I know what you mean Alehouse, makes it more likely it's a general use thing rather than an injury.

Hope you enjoy the wedding and get to the parkrun emzap.

Decorators finished here yesterday Benjy - going to take a few days to clean up and then I can finally start to get straight - many of my possessions that usually live downstairs have been in MiL's garage since the end of September!

Forecast for Sunday is rather windy (gusting 40mph) which takes the pressure off a bit more (though to be honest I'm not really feeling any - too much else to worry about and too tired/stressed). I'm mostly looking forward to the day out and in the evening we (MiL, BiL and his partner) are going out for an Indian.

    What:            very short
Why:             running out of taper miles
Last hard:     not crying at the physio
    Last rest:      27/11

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Morning!

    Lyrics: yes!

Yesterday's were Nathan Jones, by The Supremes, and covered by Bananarama. Heard both versions on the sports news on Wednesday: Nathan Jones is the new manager of Stoke, having left Luton.

    What: probably an easy run

Why: ran a little longer yesterday

LMH: that's exactly what I meant re hips. Hope not to mention them again!

Hope you find the wedding in time, Emz! And the parkrun.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning all,
    That's a good session Don
    LmH - Enjoy Sunday regardless
Emz - Enjoy the bash in Nowheresville
Ale - should have got yesterday's lyric, not sure I know today's though

What - possibly easy, possibly nothing
Why - Work Pal's 50th so think we're out at lunchtime, and brother & SiL are over today/tomorrow so won't be running tonight. I have a contingency of running back to Waterloo later though....
    Last Rest - December
    Last Hard - Tuesday

    What: 40 mins later
why: went easy on my self last night
last hard last nights 1.5 miles

    hello

All the best on Sunday LMH , you know best what you can cope with

What: run and a bit of gym this evening

    Why: easy Friday

    Last hard: Thursday

    Last rest: 31st October

    Lyrics: no

First bit of pace making of the year on Sunday (38min 10km) I'm still a little heavy so relieved it isn't 36.xx

  • Afternoon!

Sounds like a good weekend, Wabo! And whatever you had done under the eye doesn't sound like fun!

Hope lunch was good, Dustin! And this evening!

    What: short, easy run

Why: sensible head. Legs felt quite bouncy, but Achilles was grumbling. Damp.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Shame about your achilles Alehouse.

Appreciated Gobi. Hope your friend gets the time they are looking for.

Hope your eye heals quickly Wabo and you have a good weekend.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Remember this is Africa, em :) enjoy the wedding

Hope those hips are sorted, ale. Shame about the Achilles.

Agree with the others Don - great session.

LMH: sounds like a modicum of normality is finally restored.
Horrible weather here too. It will be one at and windy parkrun tomorrow.

Have fun, Dustin. Good to let that hair down a bit

Sounds painful, wabo. I hate injections.

Luckily the snow had melted this morning. Cold, wet, windy and horrid though. Drove to gym but decided I couldn't possibly face the TM. Luckily I had out outside running gear with me.

What : 10 soggy freezing miles done am, yoga day 10 done pm
Why: because the TM just wasn't an option
Last hard: waking up at 2am, unable to get back to sleep
    Last rest: 21/12
    Lyrics: no

Looking forward to my second ever parkrun tomorrow despite foul weather.
