Morning!
Lyrics: I think I might be happy if I wasn't out with them
And they're happy it's a lovely place to be
Hope today goes well, RFJ, and going forwards!
What: M73 is doing 40 minutes. Not sure whether I will tack some more on
Why: legs seem tired. Whether I can manage to make it up to another happy hour remains to be seen.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Well done on the podium finish Gobi
What - easy recovery run
Why - 20 miles yesterday. Easyish pace, taking out a couple of locals for 16-18 miles as part of their first marathon training (both should go sub 4). 20 mile race next weekend (Bramley).
last rest - 3 weeks

Beautiful day. Less wind; crisp, cold, sunny.
Nice first lady finisher at parkrun chicksta.
Well done on your 2nd place Gobi.
Decent pr time for one legged running RFJ. Good luck for your new job starting today.
Hope the rest of your kit turns up today Alex.
Well done on the XC Dustin and a nice 20 miler on top too. Easy recovery is well deserved today.
A chest torch sounds quite a useful bit of kit WP - should have a look at one of those.
Kitchen shopping sounds pretty stressful emzap.
Nice outing with M73 today Ale.
Glad you had a good run on Saturday LMH and could fit some more in around your guest.
XC Skiing weekend went well for me - did approx. an HM on Saturday and a bit less on Sunday. Only fell over twice which is a pretty good result. Definitely a good cross training exercise in particular for the upper body which I don't train enough and stresses other muscles for the legs and feet so gave the running ones a bit of a rest.
What: Not sure yet but nothing too intensive
Why: Tired from the weekend
Last hard: the ground when I fell on it
Last rest: runningwise 10.2.
Lyrics: no
I wont alehouse, I promise...
Gobi nice one!
alex, my mate tail walked park run at the weekend - 1 hr 12, so your friend will be fine!
RFJ good luck!! Its a lovely sunny day for you
hazel, oh no you had a fall! Hope you are ok? take care
Alehouse, nice one, hope the legs are ok
dustin, wow top miles!
I did just under 2 hours yesterday morning, having an issue when I get to about 1.30 with a dead right foot. Had this in the past, it gets on my nerves I am stumped as to what it is but I now think it isn't shoes but rather my actual foot!! Possibly morton's toe problem. I am doing a 20 miler in March and if it is a real struggle I will give up on Brighton.
What: 40 mins easy later
why: taking OH to hospital appt in Bishops Stortford this afternoon
last hard: yesterday morning
last rest: 31/12/16
have a good day all
I love my chest torch could never use a head torch hated it on my head. But I hardly know I have it on.This is second replacement they seem to last a year which in reality is around 6 months worth of use.
Wabo: So sorry to hear about run especially with planned 20 mile race;-(
RFJ: Good Luck today!!
I felt ill this morning so no run then by 10.30 I started to feel better so thought I would pop out and just see.
What 2 miles
Why: All body wanted?HR is elevated
Last hard: This run
Lyrics: Maybe so no or is that a yes
Last Rest 2/2
Miles makes smiles.
Progression
Yesterday's lyrics - Don't Stop by Fleetwood mac.
Glad you were able to get your hour in Alehouse.
Hope the new job goes well RFJ.
Let's be honest Gobi -nobody remembers the winner either, we don't do it for fame and fortune (or if we do we'll be disappointed!).
Glad you had a nice weekend Hazel.
Good training Dustin.
Is this about his foot Wabo? Does yours always play up after a certain amount of time/miles?
What: LSR
Why: didn't have time yesteday
Last hard: that wasn't as easy as I'd like
Last rest: 27/1
Lyrics - no.
sorry your lsr wasn't how you wanted.
Shoes, shorts and socks arrived! So all here now! Hurrah! They are on my feet right now getting broken in a little bit. They are so comfy!
Weighday today - current weight 16st 3lbs. So dropped 3lbs last week by just being a bit sensible about what I put in my body. Hopefully it will continue as I add training in. My plan for this week is to make sure I drink 2 ltr water per day and be a bit better again with food.
LMH - still working in same place, so still get free swimming!
Well done on race Gobi.
Hope you get sorted Wabo
Dustin - My eldest turns 21 this year too...time flies!
WP - hope your HR settles and all is OK
Ale - well done on getting the hour in!
Hazel - glad XC skiing went well.
What: TKD later
Why: It's Monday
Last hard: TKD yesterday was a little bit
Last rest: Sat
Lyrics: Not today
Cross posted with you earlier Poppy, sorry to hear that you are unwell again.
Have you tried elastic laces Wabo. I don't use anything else now, love them.
Good news about the kit and the swimming Alex. Well done on the weight loss.
Another couple of short walks here today. Hoping I can do at least a lap at track next week (would rather do it on the flat as the first test).
Exciting getting back kit Alex
Have a lovely evening all
Glad you got the LSR in, LMH. Should have a few decent days of weather this week although possibly not tomorrow...and possibly chilly first thing in the mornings. Didn't you do MLRs on Saturday and Sunday as well?
Emz: my first steps of running would be to do no more than a dozen steps running, then walk a little, and then another dozen steps. And that would be it for day one: see if there is any reaction at the time or later. I would say a lap of the track is too far initially...but you might be able to do it this time next week if you get over the first hurdles!
Wonder how Don, OL and SC are going on, amongst others.
