Lyrics - City lights shine on the harbour

We have a frosty, misty start to the day with a very red sun. Forecast to be the last of the nice weather, temperatures drop and the wind picks up from tomorrow <<sigh>>

What:           should be Saturday short and easy but may be a MLR/gym
Why:            legs willing I may make the most of the weather/haven't been this week
Last hard:    the next two weeks may be hard
Last rest:     27/1

Yesterday's lyrics - Pressure by Muse.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Why: no parkruns around here

    Lyrics: no

    Sunshine: yes
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning all
Yes a tourist park run, although 15 mins from home lol, in PJ's today
    28.40, getting better
Alehouse hope your virtual park run was nice
    Gobi that's annoying!
Emzap hope you had a good park run
It's lovely out there, lmh hope you enjoy mlr!
    What park run
    Why Saturday
    Last hard that was
    Last rest 31/12/16
I was complemented on my style and posture which was nice as my right foot struggled to behave itself!
Junior park run I hope tomorrow
possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
  • A walk in the Alps looking over to the Eiger
Why: we're here visiting youngest daughter
Last hard Paris Metro with sore back
Last rest: technically last 2 days
    Lyrics vaguely familiar but no
  • The Eiger is one of my favourites here OH, it doesn't feature as often on jigsaws and chocolate boxes as the pointy one near Zermatt but has an interesting history.  Hope the weather is as good in ZH as here further west.

Hope you could make the most of the weather LMH.

Bad luck on missing PR Gobi.

    Nice complement Wabo.

    Enjoy the French sunshine Ale.

Hope you had a nice parkrun despite the lack of sleep emzap.

    What: 15 miles this afternoon.
    Why: this week's LR
Last hard: breathing in yesterday's intervals
    Last rest: 24.03

    Lyrics: no
  • Pain about your parkrun Gobi.

Hope you have a good run this afternoon Hazel.

    Beautiful here too Wabo.

How long are you away for Alehouse?

Is your back better now OH?

Hope you enjoyed your parkrun emzap.

Trying to balance being sensible with listening to my body and making the most of the good weather I kept it down to a MLR this morning though it was very tempting to keep going. Not looking forward to the gym this afternoon but it's a necessary evil.

Beautiful weather at parkrun. 36:06 with run walk and just a bit of hip pain now. Very happy with that and great to get out and do something normal!

    That's a great time with a bump, em :)

    Also well done wabo.

Well done on the intervals, Hazel. I should have done one last session this week but somehow couldn't be bothered ... I'd have to do them on the TM in my lunch break as I can't run fast in my usual training slot a 6am. And there's no suitable bit of road near work that lends itself to intervals. Would have run parkrun but they needed me to volunteer. Maybe tomorrow but it's getting a bit too close to race day now...

That's a lovely part of the world OH/ Hazel. I love the area with Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Wish I was a better climber :)

Shame about public transport making you miss parkrun, Gobi.

Keep telling yourself that the gym will keep you on the roads, LMH. That's what I do.

What: early 5 mile recovery run done, cycling this afternoon planned
Why: parkrun duties and nice weather
    Last hard: my foam roller
    Last rest: 3/3
Lyrics: nagging away at me ...
  • Intervals this close to the race will do nothing for your fitness chicksta. I'm making myself go to the gym once a week but it does take an effort of will.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    nice parkrun Emz

A welcome boost following last weeks good race, I got more dividends from some recent solid trg with fastest park run since May last year with a 21:32.... and all mile splits under 7 min miles, so happy :-)

Mid long run planned for tomorrow

Still a member of a gym but rarely go......

    Take care all
