Friday 19th April 2019 - Things can go bad / And make you want to run away

Morning

Lyrics: Things can go bad / And make you want to run away

What: trip to Yorkshire
Why: it's time for a break
Last hard: being awake at 4:30 on a bank holiday!

Rfj that sounds painful. Ditto oh! Be careful!

Have a good Friday (my attempt at humour at 5:30...)

Yesterday's lyrics - Blue Skies by Noah And The Whale.

Have a safe journey and enjoy the break emzap.

You seem to be very accident prone lately OH. At least you got your double dip in before you did it.

    Have a good race RFJ.

    Careful with the gardening chicksta.

    What:           short and easy
    Why:            taper
Last hard:    tapering especially with the nice weather
    Last rest:      27/1

    Morning!

    Race well, RFJ!

Hope the hand is ok, OH!

Enjoy the break, Emz...but take it easy!

    Lyrics: no

    What: whatever the legs decide

    Why: tired!

Cross training in the garden starts shortly.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    I chuckled emzap, nicely done!

Will do 4 or 5 miles when it warms up.

Aoh, ouch!  My wife did that a while ago, not nice.

    Lyrics,nope.
  • Good luck for the 10k RFJ if you haven't already finished that is. Good travelling to Devon.

    Ditto to emzap travelwise

Hope you all have the same lovely weather as we have here.

Ended up just doing about 3.5 miles easy.  Such a nice day now; a day for sitting in the garden doing nothing. :)

    RFJ - race well!
Emz - Have a good break

What - 3 easy miles over the fields
Why - stretch the legs and soak up the sun!
    last rest - Saturday
    last hard - Sunday
    lyric - doubtful

more gardening beckons...already filled the garden waste bin and one sack. Not even cut the grass yet...

  • Slow plod up and down local hill.
Lovely day and trying to get moving again.
Hand comfortable today but sutures in for 7-10 days
    Lyrics: no
  • Hope everyone has had a nice afternoon - our lovely weather was cut short a while ago by a thunderstorm.  The ground could do with the damp though.  We were home some time ago anyway.

Just short of 30km mtb trundling including a stop for cake and coffee.  There seem to be beavers all over the place - saw several dams and all of the paths along the brooks have signs up.   Won't go out for the recovery run now.
  • I don't think you need a recovery run after that hazel. I've never seen a beaver. Hope you have a good race tomorrow.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Evening!

Exciting indeed, Don! Although I'm sure that last year you said you wouldn't run another one! Perhaps my imagination.

Tired run today: too much gardening I suspect!
