Morning!

Lyrics: You gotta take your time
You gotta say what you say

The weather doesn't look great but unfortunately we just have to live with it. Better for running than cricket!

What: short run, long stretch

Why: Tuesday/work/calf (latest niggle)

Yesterday's lyrics were "The Winner Takes it All", Abba. Probably had those before, and the same may well be said for today's!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning!

Skin is waterproof at least Ale.  Why can't you play cricket in the rain actually - I guess the danger of slipping over is too high?  Careful with the calf.  Good your plumber did his stuff yesterday.

A 20 weeks plan is a long time Wabo - I did an 18 week P&D and it dragged on for ever.  Well done on your fastest parkrun of 2019.

Nice double digit run yesterday WP.

Hope you had a nice bank holiday too chicksta.

Good work at the Hampshire Hoppit (great name!) Dustin.

Well done on the recovery run OH.

Seems you were very lucky with the weather TR (and LMH).

What: out with the group this evening
    Why: Tuesday
Last hard: double soaking both cycling and running yesterday - now have a row of shoes drying out...  Actually it wasn't that bad - no wind and mild.
    Last rest: 9.6

    Lyrics: no

    Hiya
Chick - I follow P&D (18 week) but I have to be honest I don't include the MP efforts in the long run until the second month. How did you friend get on Hoppiting? Did they enjoy it? The free photos are available now too!
Ale - fortunately the Vets league is next Monday!

What - club sessions, short hills
    Why - scheduled to coach
    last rest - 10 days?
    last hard - Sunday
    lyric - possibly

    Morning

All the rain went through early we just have blustery winds!

    Ale: watch that calf.

Hazel: I have a similar amount of shoes drying out.....

    What: 6 mile recovery run
    Why: Because I can
Last hard: Listening to the wind and rain
    Lyrics: Yes

    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • Morning.

Wet, windy and on the wild side here - we are just back from a five mile coastal walk - bracing! I must admit it was a morning I was pleased not to feel that I ‘had’ to run - though I’m getting twitchy - maybe tomorrow 😊
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    morning all
Hazel I know it is long but I know my foot needs to get used to long stuff - plus if I feel I can't do it I will know in time to let the place go to someone else.
LMH that sounds a lovely walk!
    Poppy good running!
    DUstin enjoy your Tuesday
Re the 20 week schedule, it is actually very laid back the first few weeks so I reckon it will be good for me.
alehouse plenty stretching, hope the calf eases

I did 5k last night as per schedule and then got back to the OH wanting to turbo! So we did a 30 min turbo/spin type class in the loft!! Great fun
    What: 2 miles this morning
    why: its a rest day
last hard: that was on tired legs
    last rest: 31/12/16

    Have a good day all
possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can

Nice turbo-ing, wabo. That sounds fun indeed :)

Hope the weather is kind for your return to running, LMH.

Dustin: I'm fairly relaxed with my P&D plan. I kinda like to have a structure but if I don't feel up to a certain session (today would have been LT) I just skip it. I tend to follow it a bit more strictly once marathon day draws closer. My friend is a regular at the Hoppit - she seems to like it. She did 4:50ish but was a bit undertrained. She's usually running road maras in the 3:30 to 3:45 range.

Hazel: Hope the shoes dry quickly. No wind is always good (and very rare here as I live by a river which seems to create wind).

What: 10 miles with some hills
Why: fancied a different route and totally didn't fancy the 5 mile LT run that P&D had in store for me
Last hard: me and hills don't get on well which is why I have to do more
    Last rest: 25/5
    Lyrics: I think so

    Afternoon

What: managed to get a walk in, 1/2 of it was dry! Yoga tonight
Why: set off during a break in the rain. Unfortunately break only lasted 10 mom and route is 20 min
Last hard: upping the pace to get back in the dry!
Lyrics: yes! 3 days on the trot

Sounds like a good race Dustin
Lots of good long runs going on here.
Wabo sounds like a fun turbo session
Hazel the shoes drying out is similar to here!

This is not the weather to not have a sealed house...

    Have a lovely afternoon all.
  • Lazy morning completing passport renewals online. Possibly badminton this evening, possibly not.
Freewheeling until Hoy half on Sunday
    Last hard: Dirty 30
    Last rest Sunday
