Morning.
Lyrics - If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Hope you're both feeling better soon Wabo and OH.
Enjoy your Shetland trip OH - no strong winds to disrupt it up there?
I was dreaming MiL and hospital appointments, think it may have caused me little more stress than I realised. Sore throat and tired this morning, maybe a bit on the raggedy edge but I wasn't planning on going far with these winds anyway so hopefully another easy day will see me right.
What: hopefully a MLR
Why: it's about the miles at the minute
Last hard: sleeping
Last rest: 27/7
Yesterday's lyrics - Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Hope you don't feel too battered and bruised today, Wabo! Did you go to the Lane? I bet you felt rough until just before 7, made a major improvement around 7:15 and well on the road to recovery a few minutes later!
Enjoy Shetland, OH!
How was pr 481, RFJ?
What: short run/long fitness suite
Why: Sunday, being careful...and it is pouring again and is supposed to continue for most of the day
Lyrics: no
Rough night for me, so many aches and pains. Laying debating about my lsr which should be 10 miles today. The impact has left me with a really sore neck and shoulder
What probably 1-4 miles
Why how I feel
Last hard yesterday
Last rest 31/12/16
Next weeks long run will be 12 miles so I gotta just go with that and forget this week's?
If you don't feel up to it you can't do it Wabo. Any chance of fitting at least a MLR in during the first half of the week then doing the 12 next weekend? I think the midweek MLRs really help.
Managed to stay dry! Helped at a 5k this morning and got a bit of running in, then to fitness suite whilst it rained, then off to daughter's for more gardening. I have a couple of back strengthening exercises, Hazel, and to be honest I am able to do the majority of the rest of my sequence without too much bother. Back is far better than a week ago...and hope the consultant doesn't tell me any different tomorrow.
Decent long run of the progressive variety, Hazel!
Hope that there is not too much reaction to yesterday's race, Chick!
Did you manage a run, Wabo? Trust it was better than you anticipated!
Ale Parkrun 481 was windy but was holding back as racing today (wish I hadn't now). 22:30 yesterday and 45th at Swindon
Burnham Beeches 10k today, aim was to beat Lethbridge 10k time back in June that was 46:15 and conrinue the comeback.
Knew that this was a slightly harder and more undulating course.
After a very poor congested start (thought I was standing where I should) but it seems that there were about 15-20 in a group that all I will say should not have been there and were making comments about how fast people were.... and the bumping and barging...
Picked up running with a very fit Reading RR V70 and we ran together... however I just could not seem to pick up the pace and just felt tired esp on the hills.
Other than that all was going ok and was looking at about a 46:30 before the last hill, but again lost strength and leg started to drag badly as as came in to the finish field, went sprawling as leg gave way again, lost all pace and had to hobble the last 200m. (don't see the specialist again now till Oct) so annoyed as no warning really and no pain, and will likely now do Oldbury 10m in Sep as a result.
47:39 on the watch, dont know about position or Chip times.
Mrs RFJ also struggled with her feet, but was happy with 62 mins
More exercises to do. But at least I can still run... (just not the distances I want to)....
Take care
Good to hear that your back is feeling better Alehouse. Hope the Consultant has good news for you tomorrow.
That's a long wait RFJ - is there no way to bring it forward?
Glad I only did 4
Just popping in to say hello. Been at NCT all day. Learning about babies is tiring!
