Tuesday 13th August 2019 - I don't think that it's

Morning.

Lyrics - I don't think that it's
            Gonna rain again today

Good news RFJ - I hope you do get some answers and a way forward.

Chilly this morning but forecast to get worse tomorrow so I'd like to get some miles in if I can persuade my tired legs to keep giving. Generally as long as I don't ask them to go fast they are quite cooperative.

What:              hopefully a MLR
Why:               the road to York
Last hard:       feeling as if winter is just around the corner
Last rest:        27/7

Yesterday's lyrics - Into The Great Wide Open - Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

Nearly posted ten minutes ago...but LMH would still have just been first!

Lyrics: no...and probably wrong in that it looks very grey out there and the forecast is grim this morning!

What: a run of some description plus long stretch in the fitness suite

    Why: Tuesday

Consultant phoned at 8:50 pm after someone else had looked at my scans. 99% nothing to worry about but to check the 1% he is also sending me for an isotope bone scan. Plus sending my aging bones to an osteoporosis specialist.

Hope today helps get some answers, RFJ

    Edit: it is pouring.

  • Morning.

Like the sound of that relay Dustin - not sure if I would have taken beer or chocolate myself.  Good running!

    Nice hilly PB yesterday WP.

Good news on the DOMS chicksta in particular if you had a 5 hour drive.  That 3 day event sounds interesting.

Mixed results from yesterday then Ale.  But at least no stop running now answer.

Great news on the appointment today RFJ.  Fingers crossed for you.

Like the Ale's edit answer to LMH's lyrics.

What:  Group run and annual BBQ this evening
    Why:  some nice chat planned
    Last rest: yesterday

    lyrics: no as ususal

Why - Schedule, and I'm coaching
    last rest - 3 weeks
last hard - Sunday, or perhaps QoP with her pointy elbows last night
    lyric - think I do

rfj good luck! I also do not answer odd numbers but sometimes you just do not know!!
chick amazing no DOMs, I must brake really hard as downhills mess my quads!

possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
  • No rain forecast for us until tomorrow - but it's not exactly BBQ weather either - enjoy your evening Hazel.

Good to hear that you're getting better Wabo.

There's a reason you're signed off sick emzap and it isn't so that you can run around madly catching up with jobs - take it easy!

Hope you don't have to wait long for the scan and the appointment with the osteoporosis specialist Alehouse.

I too think the QoP would probably win Dustin.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Afternoon!

Well it was so wet I managed to run at the physio's...

What: 5.4 miles (8.69 k) in 30 minutes including 3 x 4 mins at sub 5 min miles with 2 mins recovery at 6 min miling.

    Why: opportunity knocked.

    Please excuse the following post

Yes I got answers.... as a certain father says.... Feck, Feck, Feck

I was not expecting what I heard today and today will start a new journey...

I have been provisionally diagnosed with MS, to be confirmed by lumber punch test, but a specialist said that is to confirm not refute... been sent home from work as head is not in the right place after this news....

Goodbye anything above 10k now is the initial advice from the specialist, but commended me that my running has eased any major progression, so still able to run but not expected to be anything or where I have been used too.

Off to see what this really means, but I now have answers.....

Really sorry to hear that, RFJ! I don't know enough to comment but you certainly will have our thoughts and support. Running will help, I'm sure, in lots of ways, not least the mind!

(((RFJ)))   speechless right now and anything I could write seems hugely inadequate. Hugs and healing vibes, mate.

Rfj really sorry to hear your news. Hope you can get some answers and get a chance to get your head around things. Lots of hugs coming from here
  • That must have come as a shock RFJ - much depends on what type of MS, hopefully it will be one of the more forgiving ones and you'll be running and doing whatever else you want for many years yet.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Not good news, RFJ, but a very variable disease in terms of progression. Here's hoping ...
Walk along cliffs of Eschaness followed by swim off Muckle Roe. Nice day here.
