Monday 19th August 2019 - You've spent a year staring into a mirror

Morning.

Lyrics - You've spent a year staring into a mirror

It's nice when you have a run like that RFJ.

What:             MLR or LSR
Why:              trying for another couple of weeks of high mileage
Last hard:      staying the right side of doing too much
Last rest:       27/7
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

    Lyrics: not today

Sorry to hear elsewhere that you weren't well enough to pin a number on, WP!

What: 45 mins or thereabouts with M74

    Why: Monday

Not a good night's sleep: woken by heavy rain again, several times. Now dry and hoping it stays that way for the run and indeed the rest of the day.

LMH: back will take time to heal and is a bit of a nuisance when sitting, doing some of my stretches and is limiting training as avoiding hills and quicker running. Isotope bone scan tomorrow.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Morning!

    Quiet yesterday.

Seems quite a balancing act between the too much and not enough for you LMH.  Have a good run today.

I guess you just need to tick off those last 8 workdays then emzap.

    That sounds very good RFJ.

Have a good start to the new week everyone.

    What: yesterday's run
Why: had a rare attack of CNBA yesterday due to the heat, humidity and general tiredness
    Last rest: yesterday
Last hard: sleeping - bloody thunderstorms

    Lyrics: no
  • I think it is for everyone Hazel, we don't know what we can do until we try and sometimes we'll push things too far but if we don't we'll sit comfortably where we are instead of improving.

Nothing wrong with avoiding hills and faster running Alehouse  :)

    morning all
Well raced at the weekend Hazel & Wabo (and other I may have missed..)

Busy weekend here - Saturday morning I did a Park Run! Two of my running pals got married and had a morning PR as a 'warm up' - I went round in about 25 I think.
Afternoon spent timekeeping at the SAL - and despite romping home with a massive points total, and winning by over 60 points, results elsewhere transpired to leave us in 3rd - just outside the promotion spots.
Evening at the reception of said wedded running pals, there was ale, there was Dad dancing...
Sunday was 12 easy trail miles in the drizzle, followed by a whole host of domestic admin duties, topped off by youngest's car having exhaust problems last night.
Back in work for a rest...

What - easy lunchtime, junior xc league AGM tonight
Why - recovery , on the committee
    Last rest - 3 weeks
Last hard - squeezing life into 48 hours...

    Nice progression run, RFJ.

Ale: fingers crossed for the bone scan. Plenty of rain here all day yesterday but now it's sunny, warm and very windy.

A cnba day every now and again is not a bad thing, Hazel.

Great weekend, Dustin. Will you do more parkruns going forward?

Sorry to hear your family are poorly, wabo

How long are you expecting the building works to last, OH?

had hoped for it to be finished weeks ago.
  • I hope it doesn't go on for too much longer OH.

Sorry to hear of the poorly people Wabo - mind you don't catch anything.

Another hectic weekend for you Dustin, maybe early retirement isn't such a good idea for you  :)

  • Afternoon,

Sorry I am late memory of a goldfish lately :) Yes too poorly to pin number on but feeling a lot better as today has gone on.

Wabo: Hope little ones are okay and you do not catch anything.

I think we worry or I do when not well I have to try the next day maybe I am being lazy etc

    What 4.6 miles
Why: Because my body let me
Last hard :yesterday not racing as I had been looking forward to the race:
    Lyrics: Nope

Just an easy run to see if everything was okay and it was, would not want to have run any more but hopefully tomorrow will be different.
    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.

Busy, busy Dustin, shame about being piped for promotion.

Just over 4m for me tonight

Got some other tests tomorrow night with a specialist, which may yet now be linked to MS, so that could be interesting and give some more answers.

was good to get a good nights sleep last night

    Take care
