  Yes...a bit unusual, but a mixed team event; 2 male, 2 female, to run in any order. Most teams chose MFFM but Japan chose to run it differently, hence the mixture. Something of a novelty but adds a bit of interest. Not sure what it proves???

  It's a similar notion to the mixed Tri relay events, I guess.
