I was 21 years when I wrote this song

What:  waLk
Why: going to  friend's house for play date
Last hard: realising that my baby is a month old already

Have a lovely day all

Comments

  • Morning!

Lyrics: no...and what were yesterday's please,  Emz?

What: hopefully a run/walk of some description

Why: gradually getting back to it

Plus stretches plus cross training in the garden perhaps.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Morning.

Each week brings you closer to being able to run again emzap. You and Lucas seem to have a great social life.

A real time in a real race too Alehouse - I'd say in many ways the more impressive marathon performance of the weekend. Easy does it eh?

I have a sore throat and a sinus headache but RHR is only up a little, we are forecast a dry morning and it's my 'long' day at work so I think a little run is on the cards.

    What:             short and easy
    Why:              not feeling great/tapering
Last hard:      not eating all the gf df peanut butter bar I made
    Last rest:       27/7

Lyrics - yes, love this one.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Wabo that's great babysitting! Wish we had parents who could do the same!

Hope your symptoms come to nothing lmh and you're feeling better soon.  Yes our social life these days is insane! Never been so busy!  My husband said it wasn't my social life but lucas' and I just had to tag along so he could get there

Ale sorry they were drops of Jupiter by train. I was pretty out of it last night!

    Oh enjoy the swim.
  • Devoted babysitting indeed.

Swim with beautiful dawn light done.
    Usual loop this evening.

We went for a walk in the sling! Only did a short one as don't want to overdo it, but it seemed successful :)
  • Hope it's the first of as many as you want Alehouse.

I'm glad your help was appreciated Wabo.

    Did you prefer that emzap?

  • Afternoon!

What: just under 2k run, albeit in three sections

    Why: change of plan

I used to find the sling really helpful, Emz!

    Great photos, OH!

Glad the weekend went well, Wabo!

Working the next two days as well, although at a different venue.

  • Evening all. Busy busy the last couple of days, so apologies for not posting sooner. We arrived safely at our Bavarian holiday destination on Saturday. Last couple of days at work were tough. Glad I have two weeks without any stress ahead of me.

Sympathies to you and your other half, wabo. At least his dad is no longer suffering 🙏

Some incredible performances at the weekend. I'm a big fan of Kipchoge. No matter what challenge they throw at him, the guy is delivering. At the end of the day he ran 26.2 miles bloody fast, even if he had pacers all the way. And he looked so fresh at the end.

I managed two nice hilly trail runs so far, a long MTB tour yesterday and a short one today. Short because I came off my bike comedy style. Pedal clipped on rock. Crash landed with left knee on rock and right elbow on tree roots. Lost quite a bit of skin in the process but no harm done other than cuts and bruises.

    Love your pics, OH :+1:

Hope it's just taper madness, LMH 🤞

    Thanks chicksta
Great running with my son again, drenched though.
He had my old watch on, he does run/walk. Only measuring the run part he did an 8.5 mm mile. Aching shins though. New shoes needed. It's great to see him doing this
Chicksta ouch I can imagine how that went!!
