I like to make sure there's a two hour gap after food for my run so as to run on an empty belly, but does drinking a coffee with sugar effect how ''empty'' your stomach is? Thanks!
Not unless you're going for a blood test. I do most of my training runs before breakfast, but I do have to have coffee when I wake up (black, no sugar, though).
If it's of any relevance, I have a hard time digesting food before a run so if I do a late run, I have to stick with a pure carbs meal (oats/honey, for instance) and have it no later than three hours before. Coffee doesn't bother me at all, though.

Thanks, mate.
