My legs have to learn the hard way, LMH ;)  I'm sure everything will be fine next week.  hope your travel goes smoothly.

Love the telegym session, Hazel :+1:

He's a boy, Em - of course he loves the fireworks :)

Heavy rain here since yesterday. I hope I won't lose any shoes in tomorrow's mud race ;)

Braving the rain shortly, then timekeeping at parkrun.
  • Happy Birthday Em :) Great news Lucas was a wee angel last night.Good Luck with the Rugby today.

Thanks it was a tough ask but the boys did us proud :)

  • Morning.

Happy Birthday emzap - hope you have a lovely day.

Pain about the weather Poppy. I'm hoping it won't make our journey south too stressful.

I'm glad you didn't let an idiot put you off doing what you know you need to Hazel - and that you had such a good race afterwards. Sounds like an enjoyable BH.

Hope you enjoy your race tomorrow chicksta - no idea when I'll be catching up with the thread after the airport (if then).

It's mad with some races at the minute Alehouse.

What:           lots of sitting and aching
    Why:            travelling
Last hard:    realising I didn't have to worry about Grace with the fireworks
    Last rest:     26/10

    Lyrics - yes.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

Happy birthday, Emz! Enjoy the party and hope you win the family rivalry.

    Lyrics: yes

What: probably a short run plus fitness suite

Why: will decide after rugby and supermarket...and will be influenced by the weather.

Weather doesn't look good for OH's race.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Chick, meant to ask, where on earth (or should I say Germany) is that race? Not around you I imagine... Also re Brüder Grimm it's so much fun despite the pain!
  • Happy birthday emzap. Hope you have a lovely day.

Good luck chicksta. You could borrow Ale's glue for your shoes.

Certainly sounds like an indoor day WP.

Have a great holiday LMH. Hope you will get some warm weather.

What: short recovery in a few minutes
Why: no time for more today (opera this evening in Zurich with OH and PIL)
Last hard: wearing heels will be!
    Last rest: 29.10

    Lyrics: for once yes!
  • Last time I checked the forecast was for high 20s low 30s Hazel 😊

Through security and waiting for our gate to be announced. See you on the other side!
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Oops, too tired this morning to realise it's your birthday, em. So happy birthday 🎉🎂🎁
The race is in Hitzacker where the glaciers from the last ice age left some rough terrain behind. You speak German, so you'll perhaps smile about the race name: Herbst Härte Hitzacker - Hardcore autumn is probably how I would translate it.

    Which opera, Hazel? Enjoy.

Hope the journey isn't too stressful, LMH. 20 to 30 degrees sounds wonderful. I'm still frozen from standing around in the cold and rain at parkrun. It was soooo wet.

How did the rugby go? Too bad it's not shown here.

Your weather sounds even worse than ours, poppy.

What: 8 mile run and parkrun volunteering
    Why: plan / giving back
    Last hard: getting warm again
    Last rest: Sunday
    Lyrics: yes

Chick don't mention the rugby please... Let's just say my oh is happy
  • We should have gone to parkrun, Emz.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Well hopefully the cakes and biscuits will make me feel better...
  • RFJRFJ ✭✭✭
wow, loving the look of the cakes, Emzap. Happy Birthday :-)

new gym membership has come through via work, so hopefully will be able to use it well.

A very wet and windy Lydiard Parkrun this morning, numbers very low, I wonder why.....! and way a shade over 25 mins hard effort esp looking at HR, and 39th for no 493....

    Take care

  • Wow! where and when's the party Emzap?  ;)

Weather was fine bit of drizzle for start and first hour but dry and gentle sun thereafter.
Took it steadily and came in 26 minutest faster (7h49m50) than last year.
HRM was helpful - stayed mostly in z3 with 16% in z4
Enjoyed race - just chilling before ceilidh now.
  • Great improvement, OH! Sounds like the HRM helped keep a lid on things. Enjoy the ceilidh!

    Enjoy the food, Emz!

Not too many to go now, RFJ! Doubt I will ever make half of that!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Wow, OH - that's a decent chunk off. Well done. I'd be whacked after nearly 8 hours on my feet!

    Yummy looking cake there, em.

Nice parkrun, RFJ and I agree with ale. Impressive total.
  • Happy birthday Emzap, hope you had a lovely day. The picture is making me hungry

    Good luck tomorrow Chick

Great run today OH, congratulations on the pb

Hope the travel is OK LMH

That's an impressive number of parkruns RFJ, I did my 23rd today

What - run with a friend and parkrun, think it was 7.7 miles total. Managed 21 something for the parkrun, so legs seem to be getting back to normal. Even got a wee volunteering tick afterwards, sorting tokens while drinking tea.
Why - slowly increasing miles again

    Lyrics - no

  • RFJRFJ ✭✭✭
forgot to say yes to the lyrics :-)
  • Not actually a pb - did better in 2016 (1 week after Snowdonia!)
  • (not missed a dance yet this evening)
