No Bonfire Night here fortunately though we do have the possibility of a thunderstorm this afternoon- I do love to watch those over the sea from the comfort of the balcony 😊
chamolk - we started to do the late warm holiday four years ago and find it really good to have it to look forward to and to see us through the worst of the winter.
Fondue evening sounds nice Hazel, we are planning one too as there is a chain of fondue restaurants here that are great for gf.

My left knee and my quads are are a little unhappy after a four mile walk along the beach yesterday afternoon- the camber was bad and the sand very soft. Unfortunately by the time we realised that we were unable to get back to the road (lots of imposing houses with private beach access and no trespassing signs) we were two miles out and had no choice but to turn round and walk it back. Not sure how they will respond when asked to run but it’s plenty warm enough to walk in running kit at 0630hrs so it doesn’t matter too much.

A bit like your walk LMH, my glutes were a little stiff after my walk yesterday - was pretty brisk with 450 feet of climbing, but could already feel them tired before the run last night.

Somehow I forgot to post yesterday. So yesterday was a 5 mile run.

I always say that none of us know what we’re going to get until the day with a marathon chamolk. You can have the best of prep and a rubbish day.
Legs were happy to run after a short walk so another six miles for me this morning, don’t really feel I can stay out much longer and am just ticking over at the minute so it doesn’t really matter. It’s the sunniest hottest day so far and the thunderstorms have disappeared from the forecast so we are planning a trolley bus/walking adventure after lunch.
