I've not done trail running before but have a race in January so want to get a pair of trail trainers early so I can get used to them. My budget is not great though so looking under £50. I've come across lots of brands like More Mile, Dare2b etc as well as Reebox, Asics etc
What shoes would you recommend. The More Mile Cheviot 4 looks good and are cheap but don't know what they're like.
Thanks

are ok, lugs not very deep so might not be suitable if your trail run is in thick mud. Also quite stiff soles, which are fine if going is firm, but if soft a more flexible shoe can be better.
Innov8 x talons are what I use, bit more expensive, but very comfortable
> Proper bargains? I would go to Decathalon. Not trail shoes but bought the Kalenji 100's for £9.99 - brilliant for short reps etc. Must have a trail version there.
How is the 'fit' on those? I generally have quite wide feet.
Honestly couldn't tell you. I suppose if they are that cheap, just give them a go.
