Guys,
I have repeatedly taken up running but failed to continue due to the same stiffness and pain issue.
I can jog or speed walk for almost exactly 1k, then my shin muscle and ankle becomes super stiff and the pain makes it impossible to continue. I have tried walking to get the muscle warm, stretching and even shin splint exercises but I cannot get beyond this barrier.
I wonder if it is a arch or foot placement issue but cannot find any information. I hope that someone else has had, and overcome this issue?
I'd just like to find a solution to the above so I can achieve a 5k and build on that.

Must be very frustrating.
I'll take note of that. It is frustrating, I thought my bronchiecstasis would prevent me from running long distance but my pace and breathing is fine it's my lower legs are the problem now. I'd like running to break up the cycling that is my main form of fitness.
