    Morning!

What: another shortish run I imagine, plus stretches

Why: playing it by ear until knees feel less bruised. Blood tests first.

    Lyrics: no

    Morning all
Apologies was "off grid" much of the weekend, but many many thanks for all your comments about Friday's (virtual) marathon.
On reflection pretty pleased overall with how it went.
Did a bit of stretching and flexibility Friday afternoon so the legs were not too bad come Saturday. I didn't run but did a long (7 mile) walkwith Mrs D instead.
Sunday - 6.5 mile run am , slow and easy, not too much soreness, pm - 7.5 mile walk & gardening
I think most of you know me too well: cake was consumed, as was beer, and I have already invited myself chez Els/OH given the pictures of the garden party!!
Hazel - cracking long run yesterday too
Ale - hope the bloods go well today

    What - easy run
    Why - recovering
    last rest - Saturday
    last hard - Friday

I think judging from photo's a forum cake munching visit to OH/Els is a must :)
    ALF: Always a little further

    Morning again!

    Glad all seems ok Dustin!

What: around 40 minutes reasonably easy

    Why: seemed about right.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Poppy: Oh yes, let's all descend on OH and Els for a forum gathering ;)

40mins sounds reasonable, ale. Hope the tests go ok.

Yesterday sounded tough, Hazel. Sensible to adopt a run/walk strategy. Heat is so nasty.

Nice to have one of those runs, LMH.

    Enjoy your easy week, wabo.

Glad you are recovering well after the marathon, Dustin.

Another hour of core stuff here - I just counted: it's streak day 24 :)
  • Hope you can enjoy your week off Hazel.

Sounds like a good weekend Dustin.

Are you feeling any less sore Alehouse?

I didn't realise you were doing the virtual marathon too Poppy.

You are showing great commitment chicksta.

Do you think you'll be able to resist the fell run this week Wabo? :-)

    What:             MLR
Why:              the weather was good and I had the time
Last hard:      knowing whether the knees will work tomorrow
    Last rest:       16/6

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Afternoon!

LMH, the bruises are coming out nicely on my knees, which weren't really a problem this morning; however my left hip that I landed on is sore to touch and was a little annoying towards the end of today's run.

Bloods were first thing this morning. A new normal: rang the bell outside the surgery, was escorted to a particular chair in the waiting room wearing my face covering, gloves and short sleeves. Next patient was escorted to the chair furthest away from me. When the nurse took me through for the bloods she left a red cross on my chair which meant it had to be disinfected. Bloods straightforward, just hope the results are! Escorted out and told to put all clothing straight into the wash, which I did.

    Great streaking, Chick

  • I hope your hip settles quickly Alehouse.

    Evening all,

been signed off for three weeks due to MH issues, running is keeping me sane... but did have a big MS fall on Saturday, no major damage.
